My time living here had some good points and some really bad ones. The location is fantastic—you can't beat being so close to downtown and SLU Park. The rent is also really reasonable for the area, which is a huge plus and the main reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one. I also have to give a shout-out to a couple of people. Pat, the newest member of the management team, is awesome. He genuinely tries his best to help, even though it seems like he has very limited resources. Raj, a previous manager, was also super helpful and kind. Some of the maintenance staff were also great, but just like Pat and Raj, they seemed to be limited in what they could do. Now for the bad part. We lived in Apartment 501, and if you're thinking of renting here, do yourself a favor and avoid that unit at all costs. We had a constant, incredibly annoying plumbing issue. We'd hear this loud gurgling noise in our kitchen sink every time someone upstairs used their garbage disposal or dishwasher. No matter how many tickets we submitted, it was never fixed. To top it all off, when we first moved in, a maintenance mistake left us without water for a whole day. The senior manager, Alison, was completely unsympathetic to our situation. Overall, I can't recommend this place. The great location and reasonable rent are overshadowed by the constant issues and management's lack of action.

I highly DO NOT recommend living here no matter what. I am unfortunately paying the price to live here which is impacting my quality of life. Please believe me when I say, look for anything else but this specific apartment. The Management is never ever responsive they don’t care about you living here obviously. They give you some fake email contacts to reach out to them which don’t exist. So pretty much you will be suffering the entire lease term paying such high rents for nothing. No complaints are heard of by them. We have been having loud and noisy upstairs neighbours for which we have complained 4-5 times already, obviously no action taken. The noise is so loud it wakes us up from our sleep almost every night. And it’s not just night its the entire day. Basically, it can happen to anyone. But in future if you are planning to rent here and the unit is 811 do not rent just run. I wouldn't recommend moving into this apartment as it has the oldest dishwasher as well which has rusted out and falling apart they refused to replace after taking the high rents they posed for the unit. There are just many water and plumbing issues in the apartment from the very beginning we moved in. So beware when renting out in these apartments. Please please reconsider before moving in these apartments. Thats all I can say now that I have to suffer here till my lease ends. Only option remains for me is to reach out to seattle authorities to complain about this kind of mismanagement at dexter 1215.

I am compelled to express my profound dissatisfaction with the management and overall state of the apartment complex, which has significantly impacted my living experience here. One of the most pressing issues is the condition of the trash rooms. They are consistently neglected, overflowing, and unkempt, which not only detracts from the cleanliness of the complex but also poses health concerns. Additionally, there is a serious safety concern due to the frequent presence of homeless individuals in and around the building. This situation has made many residents, including myself, feel unsafe and uncomfortable. The lack of effective security measures and management's apparent indifference to addressing this issue is alarming. What is most frustrating, however, is the apparent lack of accountability from the office staff. Reports and complaints seem to go unheeded, with little to no action taken to rectify ongoing issues. Requests for assistance or intervention are often met with apathy, leaving residents feeling ignored and undervalued. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and I urge potential renters to consider these serious issues when making their housing decisions. Management's failure to maintain basic standards of cleanliness and security, combined with their overall unresponsiveness, makes living here untenable.

I've lived here 3 years now, and hands down, this staff actually cares about you, way beyond the fake smiles and useless small talk that most office environments are plagued with. They care, deeply and genuinely, and if you treat them well, they will treat you well. My best advice for having the best and least bewilderingly expensive experience at Dexter Ave is renting here, getting to know the neighbors on your floor, and being honest and true to your lease agreements. Beyond that, the gym is going to get a lot bigger, the elevators a lot faster, and the garage gates are new and pristine. Don't look anywhere else to lease (especially next door), Dexter will be the place for you! P.S. Erhey, Greg, Brie, are great pieces of the team, but Alison Dyment ensures that all of her staff reach their best potential :)

Payton Omeara has been fabulous to work with! I had an apartment tour scheduled for later in the day but I was in the neighborhood and he was able to get me in right away when I arrived. I haven't moved in yet but Payton has been super helpful through this process. Very responsive and im excited to move in!
