Spur Apartments is a great place to live, very clean and very secure. Leslie and the rest of the team are great and very proactive. Only reason it's not 5 stars, were the crazy move-out costs they charged for 'cleaning'. I move a lot, and never seen anything like it.

BE AWARE!! My move-out experience with Spur Apartments was incredibly frustrating. After already holding my deposit, they still demanded additional payments with inflated charges. The biggest issue is that they don’t do a proper, in-person inspection when you return the keys, which means you’re left in the dark. Later, they tack on unfair costs and make it impossible to dispute. Even though I left the apartment in very good condition, I was billed for unnecessary cleaning and even painting. It’s clear they try to pass on the responsibility of the apartment’s old wear and tear to the tenant. Overall, it feels like a money grab and a very dishonest way to treat residents. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially to UW international students.

I had a very disappointing experience with Spur Apartments after moving out. They charged me absurd move-out costs on top of keeping my deposit, demanding extra payment as well. The process is extremely unfair as they do not complete a proper, individual walk-through when you return the unit. They ask you to leave the keys and leave as the leasing office is not always accessible. This leaves everything vague and open to them later adding unreasonable charges. Despite leaving my apartment in great condition, I was billed for excessive cleaning fees and even painting costs. It feels like they charge tenants for the apartment’s previous poor conditions just to profit. This is an unfair and frustrating practice that takes advantage of residents, especially international students who are more vulnerable. I strongly advise anyone considering living here to be aware of how they handle deposits and move-outs. Especially my fellow UW friends, do not consider this place as a future home.

Was charged crazy charges on move-out! We left the apartment in GREAT condition but was charged painting, absurd cleaning charges, and was left with NO deposit and paying EXTRA! They are truly money-hungry for an already expensive apartment. The workers are also extremely rude and super dismissive, except for the maintenance guy. He was the only nice worker lol

Leslie is a gem! She is so helpful! She has been such a knowledgeable and kind person to talk to. The building always smells so clean and the maintenance person Daniel is so quick to solve any issues. The only negative is all of the street noise but.. it’s Seattle, that’s city life. Just get a white noise machine and you’re golden.
