Part 2 They recently leased an apartment to a creepy bald guy in his 50s, and now my girlfriend is afraid to use the gym or switch the laundry by herself. He’s clearly unemployed and is constantly hanging out on the grounds. Every time we walk past he ignores me, but then stares at my girlfriend, tries to talk to her, and follows her around. I’ve told her to her to look right past him and pretend he isn’t there, but he just won’t quit. He also walks his dog every morning, and stops right in front of our apartment and just looks inside for about 15 minutes every day so we have to close the blinds. We recently had a package stolen from our doorstep. Despite having a camera pointed right at our door, management claims they don’t have the footage, probably because the thief is a resident they want to protect. We get a ton of junk mail from previous residents that just keeps coming despite informing the post office. Freehand management refuses to put a garbage by the mailboxes because it would “harm the aesthetic of the lobby.” Currently, we have major cracks forming around the windows, doorways, walls, and ceiling of the apartment. I reached out to management, concerned about the cracks, and they responded sarcastically, and still have not bothered to take a look at them. I plan to call Provo code enforcement tomorrow and hopefully get someone to make sure the apartment won’t collapse in on us. TLDR: Don’t live here.

I’ve loved my time at freehand! The gym is beautiful with plenty of equipment and natural lighting. The newly remodeled apartments are refreshing and very clean! The maintenance team has responded quickly with any help I have needed, as well as management with any questions I have had. The location is amazing being so close to everything. I would highly recommend living here!

My wife and I have been living at The FreeHand for about three months, and overall it’s been a good experience. When we first moved in, the floors were not as clean as we would have hoped but after reaching out to The FreeHand, they were able to work out a solution with us. Other than that, we had one small issue with some shelves in our apartment, but maintenance came by the very next day and fixed everything quickly. The gym is a great addition — we especially enjoy playing ping pong there. The only downside is that laundry is a bit pricey in my opinion (about $5 total per load: $2.25 to wash and $2.25 to dry). We live in one of the studio apartments. It’s definitely on the smaller side, but the appliances are all new. They also offer one-bedroom units if you need more space; it just depends on what you’re looking for. We definitely pay for the location, but for us it’s been worth it. Overall, we’re happy to give The FreeHand a 5-star review. I’ll update this review when our lease ends.

The Freehand is very well kept and clean. I love that it is indoors, modern, and has several amenities. The location is great too. Plenty of parking. Biggest critique is that adjacent and upstairs neighbors are loud (thin walls and hardwood floors above). Overall a great place to live!

We’ve absolutely loved living at this apartment complex! The community is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The gym is a huge bonus—it's always tidy, never overcrowded, and has everything I need for a good workout. The laundry room is also super convenient and well-kept, which makes chores so much easier. The management team is responsive and helpful, and neighbors are friendly.
