My stay at Nauvoo House was okay. Personally, I think it is over priced for the quality of the apartment. You and get a private room across the street for about the same price. I needed to change my 2 semester lease to a 1 semester lease because I got married in December. I asked for this change in August and they ended up canceling my lease entirely and I had no place to stay when I went in for move in day. Thankfully they took care of it and were able to find a spot for me. Living there was alright. My roommates were fine enough. My only issue I had was the smell of the laundry and bathroom. The laundry constantly smelled like mildew, and the bathroom smelled like mold. There was some on the ceiling and the walls when we moved in and the management took care of it, but it ended up coming back. I was told it wasn’t mold, but it definitely smelled like it. The apartment itself felt a little grimy and unclean even after we cleaned it. The couch was slightly broken and bedrooms were colder than the hallways at night. Other than that, it was alright. Heated floors were nice. (Upstairs heated floors sound like water dripping on the ceiling) If I had the 2 semester lease I probably would’ve stayed for the duration of it and then I would’ve found somewhere else to live. The price was a little too much for me and the community didn’t really match my vibe. If you are a freshman right out of high school or a RM, then this is definitely the place for you. They do swing dancing in the parking lot once a week and the ysa wards here are good. I would find somewhere else if you want more mature neighbors or older neighbors. I will say the management was fantastic! The girls in the office were very helpful and polite and on top of things. Great people! They answered all the questions I had. Be aware that parking is limited here and expensive. $100 a semester. If you want reliable parking that costs less, I would get a U permit to park on the street nearby if you don’t mind a walk. Or if you really don’t mind walking, get a permit to park on campus in the L lot.

My friend asked me what I love about Nauvoo House, this was my response to him. My love for Nauvoo house apartments is definitely rooted in the social life. A lot of other apartments are indoors with hallways and such, like a hotel. (You'd never meet your upstairs/downstairs neighbors in those other apartments). Nauvoo you actually meet and regularly interact with the upstairs neighbors from the apartment's open layout. People even say hi to each other from across the parking lot from the men's side to the women's side. The management is also amazing. I love Courtney and Alix, they are seriously the best. You should definitely get to know them. I'll often stop by the office on my way back from class just to chat with them. Those are some of the reasons I love Nauvoo. I'd say it's impressive that I found out about Nauvoo by word of mouth all the way out in Georgia, especially since I attend a tiny ysa branch back home.

Enjoyable housing experience! Staff is friendly, responsive, and engaging. Maintenance is quick and well done. Amenities are great and easy to reserve. Hot water flows out of the sink or shower within a few seconds. Security on the doors is a welcome feature. Big parking lot, vending machine in the clubhouse, good layout…it’s a good time.

Our experience with Nauvoo House (managed by Redstone Residential Management) has been very disappointing. The renewal offer for January 2026 came in at $1,698, which is a 14.4% increase from the $1,435 we paid for Fall 2025 — an unreasonable jump considering the ongoing maintenance and management issues. The washer leaks during cycles, the stove has been broken, and the property managers are unresponsive and unprofessional. Despite multiple attempts to reach them (including four calls in one day), no one answered. Yet, they are pushy and rude when trying to get new lease contracts signed. To make matters worse, they tried to bill me twice for a lease I had already paid in full before the start of the semester. For what they charge, this property leaves a lot to be desired. Between the poor maintenance, lack of accountability, and dismissive management, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Stay away from Redstone Residential Management and Nauvoo House.

I love Nauvoo with all my heart :) I’ve met my very best friends here and the wards are so social and so welcoming!!
