I love living at the Cedars, the on-site managers are lovely, and the mushrooms that grew under my bed were delicious! 10 out of 10

Their parking situation is absolutely horrendous!! Be warned if you chose to live in the women's or men's building they will nickel and dime you for every little thing. Im out of town working and gave my FIANCEE my consensual approval to park her car in my parking spot for the singular day I wasn't going to have my car there. She also has a parking spot in their parking garage but a few floors down from where she lives, while I, park right on her floor, practically right in front of her apartment. Long story short, she got booted and when we tried to explain the situation they told us VERBATIM, "You can't do under the table business." How on earth is that under the table business?! I gave her my permission, she has photos and text message proof of my license plate number and my spot number. Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous!!!! $103 for doing "Under the table business"?!?! They also said, "Theres nothing we can do for you." They didn't even TRY to understand what was going on!! 0/5!!!!!

SHADY. I lived at the Gates (different complex) for 3 semesters, moved to the Cedars so I could be closer to my Fiancé (lives at Northpoint) before we get married.
I’ve been pretty disappointed with the Cedars, I was told multiple times (office staff, and onsite managers) before signing that they had put in unit washer and dryers in all the men’s apartments and that I would have an apartment with an in unit washer and dryer. They lied. Show up there isn’t either. The laundry room on each floor has been hammered and most of the washers and dryers are broke. The few that half work are constantly being used. For charging $1750 a semester with the promise of in unit washer and dryer then not delivering is criminal. I would have payed $1400 or $1500 to live here if I knew that was the case but $1750? Come on. Could have lived at nicer places for cheaper or equal price like Gates (lived at) Sundance or Northpoint (heard good things)
I checked the contract to see what I could do about the washer and dryer and noticed that the security deposit is $150 but they skim $25 off in the contract so you only get $125 back. My fault for not noticing initially and assuming they deal honestly.
This is including $1745 for rent, $150 application fee, $150 security deposit and $165 for parking. That’s $2210 for a semester for a subpar apartment complex. I get no where is perfect but the Cedars seems really shady cutting corners and lying for a profit. But don’t worry they will give you cookies in the office to make up for it.
On top of that had water damage issues for about a week where it was leaking from the ceiling and there was constantly water on the floor and had to put in 2 maintenance requests before anything was actually done.
The office hours for the Men’s building are less than the women’s which is really frustrating. They basically open after most classes have started and close before most classes get out meaning if you have an issue you need to talk to the office about and are taking classes goodluck.
Overall wished I’d stay at the Gates it was farther from campus but differently worth the price and a little cheaper than the Cedars. I don’t blame the office staff or on site managers for the problems here they are actually super nice people and try to help as much as possible. I think the issue is with the owners or whoever is up at the top, taking advantage of college kids.

Management doesn't care at all. Washer and dryer situation is horrendous. Average is one dryer per floor, if that. Hours where management is there are really inconvenient if you're taking classes. Really not worth the price or the pain. They'll give you lots of snacks though, assuming you dont have classes during the day.
