Highly recommend this house for any student attending UC Berkeley. Undergrad, Master’s or Doctorate, you will have a great experience. There is a space for you at this house. There are singles and shared rooms. This large historical house on the North side of campus in the quieter and cleaner areas of the city in the “Berkeley Hills.” The house is well maintained and fully furnished. The perks included in your rent: all utilities, biweekly house keeping (communal areas), internet, printing (including colored printer), kitchen equipment/supplies (dried food), toilet paper, onsite laundry facility and so much more. The house manager, Rashad, was beyond professional and responsive since the day I contacted for a tour. If all manger’s could be like Rashad, things would be so easy. My student lived here for 3 years, including a summer. This house and the various students who lived here over the years has had such a positive impact on his college years. This is what made his life easy during his college years. The location is ideal to various locations, i.e. the campus, restaurants, corner and major markets (Trader Joe's), bus stops, hair salons, and BART. The list goes on and on. Finding housing in this area is so difficult and expensive, but Kluegel made this parent’s stress so easy. My student was always safe and has made life long friends. I stayed here for 3 years and loved it! The house is great and very well kept. The house manager is very responsive to anything you ever need and does a great job making your experience the best it can be. Lastly, the house always attracts a wide range of people that make the experience that much better. I’ll forever have fond memories of Kluegel House!

You don’t wanna miss out living here. Coming from a different country I was skeptical about living in a house with 20 people. But O was wronged. I had the best memories with other people in the house. Everyone respected each other giving them space and also not missing out on throwing parties. The house manager is the sweetest person and just makes the stay flawless. I would recommend everyone and anyone studying at Berkeley to consider this place!

Kluegel House was an awesome experience. The amazing amenities, prompt cleaning service, welcoming common areas, and the community made for a great stay. If you’re looking for a great place and experience only 5 minutes from UC campus, Kluegel House is for you. The manager makes our lives so much easier, and helps us enjoy life at Berkeley. As an international student, I was extremely glad to live in this house with character. I met extraordinary people, and I can only advise students to live there!

Following freshman housing for one year, our son spent his reminder 3 years in Berkeley at the Kluegel House, from Fall 2019 to Spring 2022 (including two semesters in remote learning mode during the pandemic). Our son's experience at the Kluegel appeared to exceed his expectations in every level, from pleasant interactions with roommates, to the availability of the kitchen, laundry, common areas and leisure activities. Rashad, the housekeeper, was prompt and courteous to answer any questions we had about the house. The location can't be beat, just two blocks from campus and close to coffee shops and restaurants for locals. It is located in an upscale residential neighborhood, along other student housing alternatives and co-ops, in a very safe location. On the couple of occasions we visited the Kluegel, we observed a relaxing and inviting environment, well-kept common areas and ample space for students to meet and relax. All students we met were polite and conscientious of others. As parents, based in our student's and our experience, we highly recommend Kluegel House.
