The cross country skiing excursion that was provided by the Arthur was so much fun. Not only is this an amazing place to live, but these perks elevate it to an extra level. Can't say enough about the entire staff!

I moved into the Arthur in March of last year and the experience has been a roller coaster. The building itself is nice and well maintained but living here has become irritating at times. First, the good. The initial tour and move-in process was easy and lacked any real issue. The front desk staff were helpful and the overall atmosphere of the apartment building was calm and laid back as you'd expect from this style of apartment. The property was and remains clean and well kept. Some of the front desk staff are the best I've had at an apartment building. The actual apartments are well designed and thoughtful in their design. The property remains mostly quiet after working hours (I cannot speak to the volume during work hours as I am not at home). The events at Arthur are well-planned and thought out. The individual running them has a good eye for what residents would appreciate and how to organize such events. However, there has been a noticeable downturn in the last few months. Unfortunately, I feel that they've fallen victim to the very issue many apartment buildings succumb to after a year or so of operation. The overall feeling of the location has become largely "corporate". When my family initially toured the location, we were told that guest parking was abundant and free for residents. This was retracted in an email a few months ago and we were told guest parking was no longer free. When we spoke to the management office, this was met with a "They shouldn't have told you that, it has always been $6", making us feel brushed off. While deceptive to potential residents, there is nothing in the lease that says guest parking is free, so I suppose we will accept it. Recently, however, the parking for guests has since increased again, for a third time in less than a year. After speaking with management for a second time, it's apparent the Arthur has sold all parking rights and profits to "The Car Park", the private monopoly on all parking garages in the Boise Downtown area. This issue is compounded by the idea that for them to properly survey the garage, they (Arthur) have given a, effectively, random third party company data about my family and our vehicles. In an age where privacy and data security is paramount, this is poor practice. More-so in that no opt-in/out was given to residents. In addition to the issues listed above, the property staff have become colder and more dismissive (with the exception of two of the longer-tenured individuals, they have always been amazing). Additionally, speaking with other residents, the leases have continued to raise in price, disproportionate to cost of living adjustments. This instance, along with others that would make this review longer than it already is, highlights the idea that the Arthur's lost sight of the thing that made this community special. This was the first apartment building after moving out of our home that made it feel like the correct decision. It has since become every other apartment building in Boise. Management is cold and unwelcoming to the residents that make up the building, and any criticism brought up is largely brushed off and met with a "it's just this way" attitude. *I recognize that the decision making individuals are likely not going to be the ones in the management office located at the Arthur. Hence why this review does not name anyone. "Management" in this review largely refers to PCP Elevate. This review is using an anonymous account as my family and I are still residents at this location.
