Move in was super easy. Haven't had any issues with utilities or appliances the whole time and everyone here is really respectful. No issues with nosy/loud neighbors. The areas surrounding are very accessible. It's easy to go to the store or even a relax and scenic walk! Overall, I've had a wonderful time here at Iconic Village.

Great place to live, truly! Have had hardly any maintenance requests and if so they solve them very quickly and efficiently! Super great location and good place for BSU students to live :)

5🌟 maintenance staff. They've been so courteous and helpful every time I've needed them. Nice guys with good attitudes.
5🌟 location. So close to the greenbelt and the pond on Parkcenter, short walk to a dog park, close to downtown and BSU. Perfecto
My neighbors are nice and I will miss this place when I move next month.
Downsides: -it smelled like mildew when I moved in. I found mold behind my oven. (Maintenance addressed it and got rid of it promptly.)
-The laundry facilities are not great. Cheaper than a Laundromat, but the cost still adds up. And they smell funky.
Overall it's a really nice place to live for a single person or a couple.

I moved in here in July 2024 due to having a lack of options. I had taken over a lease from a girl who is moving out and she had cleaned the apartment out well and told me that maintenance would come through as well. Upon moving in, I noticed that there were cracks between the cinderblock walls and the drywall.
As time went on, these cracks began to grow and display a black substance that appeared to be mold. I had repeatedly scrubbed down the walls with bleach or white vinegar and kept the fan going as well as the windows open in the summer and fall. The fan and the heater were used during the winter, but the problem appeared to get worse. I contacted management and filled out a form on their online portal to have maintenance come by. Maintenance came by and checked out the issue and told me that the best option was to keep windows open, and that these old buildings were notorious for having mold in them while stating that he used to live in one. I told him it was not feasible to keep the windows open during the winter with the temperatures below freezing outside and I would use the Fan. Despite these interventions, the mold continue to grow, prompting me to contact management once again via the portal and via text message.
Oddly enough, the portal did not keep the records of me contacting them for the mold or for certain payment options. When I texted management in the office, I was told that it was “ just a quirky old building that has some issues.”
At this point in time, I had bought a house. I was on my way out and had changed my payment options in the portal. Despite making these changes, Iconic Village utilized the wrong information on two separate occasions, resulting in a late fee. Iconic Village refused to acknowledge any fault or any wrongdoing despite the changes that I had made prior.
I don’t fault most of the office staff (which has appeared to have changed a lot over the year) for the condition of the building. They do not offer much assistance and appear to read off of a script when confronted with any issue, so having an actual discussion about potential or remediation of complaints often is unfruitful. Speaking with anyone in the office is the equivalent to speaking with an online chat bot.
The surrounding facilities are falling apart and disgusting with the laundry rooms topping the list. The washing machines do not drain and leave a nasty stench on your clothes. The laundry rooms are also littered with trash. The common areas are littered with dog waste in parking is often a challenge.
I have left my apartment many times during the last year and noticed a police presence at the apartment complex sometimes arresting tenants.
It is loud at night and not somewhere that I would recommend to anyone looking to rent. There are nicer apartments 50 feet away from this complex and plenty more around Southeast Boise.
Do not let the potential response to this review from Iconic Village convince you that this is a good place to live. I would also suggest that the reader continue reading the negative reviews that will show what a piece of trash this apartment complex is and the slimy practices that management here utilizes.

DO NOT LIVE HERE !! **MOLD**
I am a BSU student who needed cheap housing... this was the worst choice I could have made. All three of the bedrooms here have mold, when the management found out because of our PERSISTENT walk-ins they came with a screw driving and chipped at the mold WHILE WE WERE STILL IN THE HOUSE and where it was crawling big up the wall they simply sprayed over it with a spray can of paint !! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I found out from one of the workers that they recently removed and replaced someone's entire wall because it was so mold infested .... this is not worth the money you pay ... they make it so hard to get out of the lease! Talking to my lawyer about a lawsuits because my roommate is extremely sick from living here and so am I ! please for your health, pay a little extra for good living conditions!!!!
