So many issues with the mailing system, staff, buildings, and the appliances within the apartment unit. Also, the amenities we were promised are poorly kept and/or not operating. The pools have been closed for more than half the time we have been here, and there always seems to be something broken in the gyms and other shared spaces. It is also always hot in the building, so it is hard to actually use any of the study spaces.
Furthermore, maintenance does not always completely fix certain issues within the apartment unit in a timely manner, so they can persist for a long period of time with no resolution. Another issue is that parking is terrible, as there are very few visitor spots and it can also be very competitive for residents to find parking. I also want to highlight that there a number of really kind workers here, but there are some issues with communication and doing things correctly. I went in person to the main office a number of times to get a certain thing corrected, and it was only fixed after the third time. Each time I went, one of the workers assured me that it would get fixed, but the information was still later wrong.
Yet another issue with this complex is that the fire alarms will go off at the most random, inconvenient times, and they often malfunction. The elevators are also constantly broken, and there is not really a reliable number to call for help outside of work hours. The only line of communication we get is an AI assistant that often does not correctly interpret the speaker or identify the issues being communicated, and it will not really escalate the important (or what I would qualify as important) complaints it receives. This aspect is beyond frustrating to deal with because it leaves you without guidance or help outside of working hours for certain issues. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, you can be charged $75 if you get locked out of your apartment after hours, which is confusing and also scary because there are people who may not be able to pay that. Lastly, I want to note that the mailing system is slow and prone to issues, and when there are issues the staff does not communicate well or offer good help. I also want to specifically highlight that there does not seem to be a good, formal system to resolve issues such as lost packages, which may be why there is such disarray and inefficiencies within this area.
This is truly just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my experience (and others' experiences) living here, and I really recommend looking at other places because of it (especially considering the price increases and the fact that there are a good number of nice apartments with similar advantages). While there are some positive aspects of living here (the buses and the location), the negative aspects are too persistent and bothersome, and I have had a really frustrating time.

I decided to go to the housing fair to check out a potential apartment that was close to campus for next year. I was greeted by a very kind employee named Sarah and she helped me learn everything I needed to know and I felt like her help was amazing compared to the other apartments I toured. Not only is Park west 5 minutes away from campus, everyone is also so nice and welcoming! I am happy to say that I will live here for the next four years!

The apartments are clean and well maintained. They are honest with your deposit unlike The Standard and other apartments. However, be aware when you vacate that the Homebody renter's insurance policy they offer will continue being charged even after finishing your lease unless you call this insurance company wait an hour on the phone and request to cancel it.

Great apartment to be honest I love it here. But the staff here, especially the ones who work the leasing office, give a really bad attitude and made faces at me (Which I found weird, and found out everyone who I talked to didn’t smile!). I talked to one of the agents, particularly one named Jarria, gave an attitude everytime I spoke to her about renewing a lease. She wasn’t even working when I came into the office, and was gossiping with another agent in the office. This was a very common theme when I went into that office. I always resort to just talking to the front desk since they are 100% more helpful.
Wifi goes out occasionally which makes doing school work, which is all online since we are all college students, difficult and inconvenient since now 100% of the apartment has to divert out to campus at even more inconvenient times.
Mail is another joke. The workers will LITERALLY forget your mail and ignore your emails. It has not happened to me but it has happened to my friends.
Emails that they use to communicate with you all sound like AI. Like they just screenshot your email, plug it in to their business AI, and say “Please deal with this resident in the nicest way possible”.
Seriously though, as much as the wifi goes out here at the apartment, someone should just report their energy provider because this is ridiculous. The wifi went out 3 times in about 6 months now. When I lived at cheaper apartments that didn’t charge me a luxury tax of $800 a month, the wifi and power didn’t go out ONCE.
I would like to note to everyone reading this that Park West does NOT improve or compensate after reviews are added. Parking is still limited, walls are still thin, staff is still rude, etc.
Overall, good apartment, terrible service, even more terrible “high speed wifi”. Love the amenities and the absolutely lovely people who work the cafe, smoothie bar, and brookshires store inside. Bless and thank you to the custodian ladies who clean after the many college students’ messes as well.

I would never recommend living at Park West. From the moment I moved in, the apartment was in terrible condition and it was clear that little to no effort had been made to prepare it for new residents. The floors were dirty, the fridge and stove were both filthy and outdated, and there was visible mold in the unit. The air conditioning was broken and completely unreliable, which made the place almost unlivable during the heat. On top of that, there were spider webs in the corners of the ceilings, showing that the place had not been cleaned properly at all.
The furniture they provide is equally unacceptable. The bed feels worse than a jail bed and that is not an exaggeration. It is uncomfortable, old, and clearly cheap. For the amount of money Park West charges, you would expect at least a basic level of comfort and cleanliness, but what I experienced was far below even the minimum standard.
Overall, this has been one of the worst housing experiences I have ever had. Management clearly does not care about the quality of their units or the wellbeing of their residents, and they continue to charge outrageous prices for conditions that are unsafe and unsanitary. Save yourself the frustration and stress and look for housing somewhere else. Park West is not worth it in any way
