lot of fees. I have lived in several different rental homes and apartments in many states and all had a lower deposit and lower starting and monthly fees. The apartment was nice and clean when I moved in and the grounds are nice and clean so far. The office staff are nice and friendly, but I believe ownership or upper level management certainly can improve the fee structure to be more realistic. To add the name of a spouse and kids onto a lease takes just a few minutes and doesn't need to be a 500 dollar additional expense. It's like if I ordered a cheeseburger at McDonald's and as they were making it at that moment I asked for extra pickles, lettuce, or cheese I would expect a few extra dollars to pay not $500 for a few minutes of work. A lease modification is not much different. I also suggest that the hours of office availability have half a day open on Saturdays or extended hours on a weekday to accommodate students or working individuals who may not be available 9-5 M-F.
see moreoffice staff were consistently awesome and helpful, and the management maintained excellent communication with tenants. The maintenance crew was fantastic and efficient, and always on time. The appliances were nearly new and in great condition. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking to live in Logan.
see moreslammed their door at all hours, and screamed until 1:00am. All this noise (sounds like chairs being thrown, throwing bricks on the ground, slamming into walls) sounded like it was coming out of my walls and floor (even though Legacy advertises noise dampening walls). Most of my noise complaints were not resolved and were even ignored if I called after office hours. The noise finally made me decide to move out. I turned in the Intent to Vacate documentation with plenty of time for the complex to process it. The representative who took my Intent to Vacate form told me I would get the move out documents “soon”, but it was over a month later before I got them (after calling the complex to request them, which were written in an almost illegible font), so I felt very rushed to clean the apartment to their standards to avoid fees ($45/hr for cleaning after you move out, yet it didn’t matter because Legacy took 99% of my deposit in cleaning fees after I spent hours cleaning). In short, the tenants (at least in my building) were just too loud at all hours. Many of the tenants look to be students who make noise whenever they want to, even if it is 1:00AM on a Sunday night. I stopped enjoying being at Legacy Village after about two years of renting there. With that in mind, the rent went up every year with almost no real changes in the environment. Looking back on what I rented at Legacy, the rent amount now seems disproportionate to the amount of space I received, and it was not worth the headaches of putting up with the loud tenants around me. Here my pros and cons about Legacy Village: Pros -the wifi is usually really fast - you are near a lot of stores (400 E get you to a lot of nearby stores) - management clears the parking lots of snow every time it snows heavily (but in 2023, they left a lot to be wanted in terms of snow removal) - the complex is safe - Adrian, the maintenance manager, is very helpful and great to work with -you are guaranteed one covered parking space per unit and can get someone booted if they park in your spot -the complex is within walking distance to innovation campus, other nice walking paths, and the shopping centers on 400 E. Cons: - tenants are loud and the helpfulness you receive from the front desk is variable when you make a formal complaint - rent is disproportionate for what you receive - people don't pick up their dog's feces on the property, even though the complex constantly sends messages about this. Dog feces is everywhere on the property, especially during winter. Once the snow melts, the property is filled with excrement. -Tenants really don’t care if they take up all the stair space by blocking the stairs or leaving things on the stairs. -Tenants drive too fast in the parking lot and don’t pay attention (a few accidents almost happened to me because someone came flying out of the parking lot) Based on my experience, I don't recommend this complex. The units are in pretty good shape, but I would expect a little more for my money. I’m unsure if a pool and gym justifies the price of rent. You may enjoy living here if you have a different experience than mine. Consider what I experienced before you make the commitment.
see morepool/hot tub are also super fun! I also very much appreciate the 24-hour guest parking so I never have to worry about getting booted. The only thing I’ve noticed that made me lower to 4 stars is that it’s not as clean as it could be. The stairwells could be vacuumed and swept much more often and the pool could be kept up on a little more. Overall, seems like a great place to live and I would definitely consider living here!
