Summerwood has all of the best commodities for an affordable price. The room comes fully furnished and the apartment contains a nice kitchen, a TV in a small living room, and a washer and dryer. There is a gym and courtyard to meet people and hang out with friends. It truly is a great place to live with a very nice and personable management!

The parking is awesome, very nice and clean inside the apartment. Always felt safe and my needs were taken care of, just flyers for fun events on the door and good space in the kitchen and room.

Their cleaning checks can be a bit arbitrary not letting you know what you need to clean better for the recheck then charging you fees. The maintenance is also slow and often ineffective. Had the same dryer that could barely dry cloths for my whole stay even after multiple maintenance requests.

My son lives @ Summerwood in Orem UT across from the Utah Valley University main campus. Fantastic location with close & easy access to the UVU campus, I-15 and local amenities. The building is older but well maintained and has nicely refurbished apartments that are well built, quiet and the facility is clean. The lease rates are very reasonable. Underground parking is great compared to your car out in the sun & snow, but be aware that stuff may drip on your car in a lot of the parking spots (look up, you can see where leaks are or have occured). Also, watch out for 2 things in your lease. First is a monthly fee for "credit reporting" that you have to go opt out of vs. making enrollment optional within the lease. That fee is $8-9 monthly. Opting out has never gone smoothly for us. Second, get your own renters insurance. Summerwood will provide you renters insurance for about $15/mo, but their coverage is more for them vs. the resident, and it isn't great. For about 60% of Summerwoods cost, we were able to get insurance through a local agent of a national company that offered double the coverage. Just know what you are paying for. Roommate matching has been hit and miss. Overall, Summerwood is a quiet place with no frills.

Overall, definitely a good apartment complex to live in. Monthly activities, the staff are very responsive and chill. Love having the in unit laundry and being right across the street from UVU.

I had an amazing time here! I had no problem with any of my roommates. The management is good at matching roommates together. The management cares about everyone there, and will help you with anything you may need! It's a really chill place to live. It made it easier to study and get my homework done. One of my favorite parts about Summerwood is the activities and outdoor sports area. You get to meet so many amazing people while having fun! Summerwood is the place to be!

I liked it there!! Great distance from campus and there’s a bus station right outside. The rooms are a little small but decent. A little over priced but everything is nowadays. Not a very big gym. Management was fairly easy to work with. Lots of UVU kids. Good ward.

The apartments are a really nice size, with a spacious living room and kitchen. The rooms have plenty of space and are private, which is super nice. They also allow ESA!
