Being spammed and pressured to leave a 5 star review after barely moving in, after our move out and being charged an unnecessary cleaning fee and $250 for paint charges? Where do yall get your paint from Japan!? I left my unit cleaned well! And had nothing mounted or pinned we were very minimal with our belongings.
I will take this to our attorney if I get another call about this and threatened to get sent over to their attorneys again this place is just too much to afford too, no options given to buyout or trade our lease, neighbors are decent, office staff sucks, the property manager never has time and threw us to the old assistant and new assistant to handle our issues. Please don’t respond to this management team I will not be communicating with you guys. And for those that have taken the time to read this please consider your options very carefully… there are much better places and we regret not taking the chance.

We had a great experience touring this apartment complex, and a huge part of that was Emily. She was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through all of our options in detail without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. She answered every question thoroughly and made sure we understood what would best fit our needs rather than trying to push us into anything. Emily was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole process feel comfortable and stress-free. Highly recommend asking for her if you’re touring!

I'd just like to share my experience so people know what to expect. First of all the apartments are very nice. Good hot tub, very nice rooms.
Unfortunately my experience with management was quite unpleasant when I moved out.
When I got my move out cost sheet they automatically took $152 for cleaning fees. I assume that was automatic because the office lady said don't worry about cleaning too well as we require professional cleaners no matter what. (We still cleaned pretty well). So don't expect any of your deposit back they automatically take it.
There was also a $250 charge for a "full paint". We are good renters and left the paint in very reasonable condition besides a few scuffs and some holes where we hung 1 picture and a curtain rod. This should be considered "normal wear and tear" and I was on the phone with them for over an hour arguing with assistant managers and the maintenance manager and they eventually compromised and charged me $120. I still believe that it was definitely within the realm of "normal wear and tear" (which they aren't allowed to charge for).
The next day they sent me the updated bill but with a $50 charge for using a Costco cart that was already on the property and not returning it. I called them back and explained that it was already on the property and they would not budge. Both of these days as I tried to state my case they repeatedly said they would send me to collections or to their attorneys should I not pay either of those fees.
When we first got our apartment our dishwasher also didn't work. When I sent a maintenance request they repeated told me I needed to rinse my dishes better. I told them that the entire cycle of the dishwasher there was no noise and it wouldn't even wash 1 spot of Carmel off of a plate. (I ran a test). They were insistent that I was simply using it wrong. I finally got them to come out and they finally fixed it and it worked great since then.
Overall nice place just expect lots of money at your move out and a ton of additional "utility" charges. (My base rent was $1524 and my bill every month was $1880-1900 depending on the month for my wife and I). Also expect unreasonable managers.
To the Devon, please do not respond, I am truly done talking to you and wish to never interact with anyone from your staff again. The last 2 days have been some of the most frustrating I've had in a very long time.

EDIT: Got an update after a year! Do you like paying more money for negligence and being lied to? Then this is the place for you! The Devon will charge you up the wazoo and hates giving back money they promise. Chip a table? They’ll charge you $800 and never repair it. Refer someone? They’ll give you half the money promised and say “you missed the promotion.” Get insurance on your own? Pay double, they’ll still charge you because it has the address and not the word “Devon” on it. Dog poop been there for weeks? Keep texting about it, maybe they’ll get to it a few months later. Many of the apps don’t work, amenities are usually broken, and there’s this sticky black residue from moulding that has been ripped out from the floors and left in the halls. I feel so bad for the people I’ve misled in my earlier post. They prey on out-of-staters and young college couples looking to start a new life.
Love this place. It truly feels like home. Staff is kind and quick to help (special thanks to Cynthia, Joselyn, Madelynn, and Jason). Amazed by all of the amenities such as gym, spin loft, basketball court, executive lounge, grills, aqua lounge, and soon to be social lounge and game zone. Heads up, some elevators don’t work and there’s a lot of construction dust because it’s a brand new building. Also, prepare to be tech-savvy because everything is in an app! Parking is exceptional, love getting in with a sticker. Love the location, love the lighting, love the mountains, love Costco and the mall. Still pinching myself that I get to live here!

This property consistently fails to protect residents’ vehicles and ignores its legal responsibilities.
1. Paint damage from building maintenance
Paint from on-site maintenance dripped onto my car in my assigned space. Management first said they would investigate, then changed their story and denied responsibility, even giving inconsistent statements about security cameras.
This violates the landlord’s duty of care under the Utah Fit Premises Act (Utah Code §57-22), which requires property managers to maintain safe premises and handle tenant damage claims in good faith.
2. My car was towed with no signs or notice
Later, my car was towed without any posted towing signs, no warning, and no notice. Management claimed they “don’t know who towed it.”
This is inconsistent with Utah Code §72-9-603, which requires proper towing signage and notification for non-consent tows.
Overall: poor accountability, lack of transparency, and disregard for Utah law.
I strongly do not recommend living here.
Additional note:
Management never actually resolves issues. They only post long defensive replies under bad reviews, shifting blame and claiming they “did everything they could,” while in reality they do nothing to help and repeatedly give contradictory statements.
