Andrew was the best possible person to show us around. He was very personable. He wasn’t pushy. He was very knowledgeable. Very warm character. You couldn’t do better. After I moved in, I had a maintenance issue and within no time at all, Ramiro, the building engineer arrived and saw to it that it was fixed and followed up to ensure my satisfaction. I work at one of the commercial businesses inside the 5 MLK building and have been here for two years. While I can’t speak to the residential spaces, I can confidently say that Ramiro, the building engineer, is absolutely amazing. He is incredibly helpful, dependable, and always willing to step in for anything we need. Truly the backbone of the 5 MLK building, our office space would not function the same without his support. Every building has its downsides but the maintenance staff is not one of them at 5MLK. Ramiro and Lorenzo are always friendly and happy to help if anything pops up for them to help with. The amenities are top notch here, we party a lot, and they still keep things up and running.

This is really a wonderful building. From the moment you walk in the staff is welcoming and the lobby is modern and homey. The 24 hour concierge is a huge plus and the building seems really secured. The community spaces are great for hanging out and that roof top is the best in portland. You can see the entire city. Really impressed with this place.

I wanted to leave a review specifically about the maintence manager of this building. Before I moved here I read reviews and often saw Ramiro's name and accolades about him, it's a huge reason why I wanted to move here. When I finally had a maintenence request, and he was the one to show up, I immediately understood all the great reviews. He's incredibly kind, warm, genuine, efficient and intelligent. He really values giving residents the best and making maintenence requests as seamless as possible. Ever since the first time I met him, anytime I see him in or around the building we always take a moment to say hello with a smile and have a quick chat. Thank you for all you do for this building Ramiro, with all the changes in management/leasing and even your own team you've remained a friendly reliable face in this building! I couldn't be more grateful we have you here!
