my partner lives in this building and for the amount of rent I am disappointed in the quality of service this building offers. When you take the stairs, the lights do not come on until you're damn near at the bottom so being s female this is scary . the garage is always open , all hours, so it does not make me feel safe leaving my car parked inside . there is very little street parking for guest or if you dont want to pay for the garage . nice views, but the bedrooms are very small.

Anthem is cozy and a great place to live. The location and amenities are really convenient. I love the patio grills and shared gathering spaces. The staff, both office and maintenance, are kind, responsive, and efficient. I adore the cute pet neighbors I get to cross paths with too.

I've only been here almost 4 months and I'm loving it. The management, and maintenance team are very knowledgeable and kind the amenities here are excellent the game room, gym, club house and many more. I appreciate that the management team here have different events and parties that include their tenants so we can meet each and hopefully form friendships. I love the fact that we have a great mailing system here so we can always get our mail and not have to worry about porch pirating. I'm very happy to have found a wonderful place to live. The commute to work is so much quicker thank you for allowing us to move here.

The staff here are really great! My partner and I have been here for 2 years and it’s been pretty good. The common spaces are fun—shuffleboard, pool, and darts in one lounge and a fun outdoor grilling area in the other. The gym is always clean and has everything you could need to workout without having to leave the building!

If you are looking at a TON of different apartments in Portland and trying to find the best one, then let me say: I know exactly what you are going through. I started with a spreadsheet of over 50 apartment complexes/shared housing, I eventually whittled the list down to a couple of choices in the nearby area. Places you are also probably looking at.
After googling, spreadsheets, tons of phone calls, and seeing ~8 of them in person, I had it down to a solid choice between this and one other apartment incredibly close by. There were a couple of things that steered me towards ultimately choosing this apartment over all the other ones I looked at in-person. And maybe these will help in your decision-making.
1) The Cost Comparison.
Living in Portland is insane right now. It’s tough for a lot of people imagining themselves being able to afford living here anymore. As of writing this review, Anthem PDX has a move-in bonus that just makes it incomparable from a value-per-dollar comparison standpoint.
2) Amenities and Room Layout.
As far as room layout goes, the standing shower is awesome, in-unit washer/dryer is mandatory IMO, and the closet space is definitely better than most apartments. The different rooms having different coloring schemes and tile is awesome. And the fridges here are huge! Which is amazing. Also, an absurd amount of shelf space in the kitchen; it’s probably more than you will use anyway. However, the website shows every single room having a patio, while most of them do not. This was my biggest (and only) negative.
This place has a lot of (useful) amenities. A game room with a pool table, shuffleboard, and dart board (with actual darts), The NICEST GYM you will find in any apartment in Portland, a really nice courtyard, a bike storage and repair station, etc.
3) The Deciding Factor
This is what pushed me over the edge vs. the other apartment complex. I’ve learned over my time in life that administrative heads of any aspect of life can make-or-break your experience. Bad teachers can steer you away from a subject you loved, bad bosses can ruin a great workplace, and bad landlords/office staff in living situations can tarnish an otherwise great setup. I was not going to move to a place that didn’t 100% give me the feeling that I could trust them and that they were normal humans. Tricia’s willingness to show me multiple different options and answer all my annoying questions, coupled with Lauren’s straightforwardness and willingness to level with me, sold me. I’ve only really interacted with Tricia and Lauren at this point, but they are exactly the type of people I actually feel comfortable going to comparative to apartment complexes in the past.
I will update this review in a couple of months to make sure it accurately reflects my experience at this complex for those that find value in this review :)
