It was so great! The only problem was that I didn't renew my contract soon enough! I would've loved to stay, it's a great complex.

Love the colony! Parking is amazing and super cheap as well as the rent so I highly recommend for it's affordability. The place is very spacious and it is a no brainer to come get an apartment here!

THERE IS SO MUCH PARKING. Its awesome. Plus a pool and hot tub and other amenities like a pickleball court. Favorite thing though is the people. They are so kind and inclusive. People want to be family here!

I love the Colony!! I moved here to live with my friend, and although she didn't end up here, I just signed my second year contract. The management is responsive and fairly proactive without being in your face about anything. The social scene is amazing--the only reason to stay home any night is if you really want to. I've never lived in a more welcoming place. Apartments are a little old, but nothing worth complaining about.

Absolutely LOVE this place! The apartments are great, big living room and kitchen, two fridges, furnished. The bedrooms are a little bit small, but the community makes up for it!

A few years ago the colony was a great deal for the price. When I lived here in 2020 the landlord had an effective maintenance crew who responded to most repair issues within the week, or within the day of urgent. These are clearly old units, but were given regular repairs or facelifts, including a landlord special on doors while I was there. There is a pool and hot tub, but only for a few months during the summer. As soon as a minimum temperature is reached they are both drained for the season. Parking is hit or miss in Provo, but for a $45/semester fee, it was guaranteed at the colony. I paid $385 for rent and utilities in a 4 person unit. Units for 6 were $365. At this price they were 4/5 star apartments. Two years later, the price is more than I pay for a newer, better furnished unit, with only 3 tenants closer to campus. With utilities and rent at a $435 for 6 people and $465 for 4, I can no longer recommend the colony. I suspect, along with these prices, parking rates will have gone up as well. It seems like the management are probably good businesspeople, but not actually good people. If their property will bear a higher price, they will charge it.

I’m with everyone on their opinions of this place recently. Before a few months ago, this place was great, but recently there have been a lot of fishy stuff going on with management that has really began rubbing everyone the wrong way. Including: notifying residents of cleaning checks 24 hours before they are performed, booting visitors before midnight, etc. The environment is wonderful though and it’s nice having even a small of lawn on your front doorstep. Note: always go for the 4 person apartments if you can, they are vastly superior to the 6 person apartments. Overall, not the best place I’ve ever lived in the Provo scene, but it is certainly not the worst either. Would be 4-5 stars if management hadn’t really been blowing it recently.

When I moved in last August, I would have given the Colony 4 or 5 stars for the atmosphere alone. The apartments are old, and there's only 1 bathroom for 6 roommates, but it was easy to justify living here for the fun environment and amazing people. Seriously, the residents here are the best. However, over the past 3 months, management has made it a pain in the neck to live here. They give parking tickets to visitors before midnight, they put boots on visitors' cars when they "just want to chat", and they put boots on residents' cars and refuse to take them off when they want information on someone else that they can't get a hold of. (I know, it doesn't make any sense.) And to think parking used to be one of the perks of living here. Also, they gave us no warning about cleaning checks. They posted the checklist the evening before, saying to email them 48 hours in advance if we were going to be out of town. My roommates and I were going out of town the next day and didn't have time to clean. (Luckily, enough people complained that they switched the checks to the next Monday.) They're so paranoid about non-tenants in the swimming pool that they constantly ask everyone if we're residents. I'm very disappointed with what the Colony has turned into, because it was such an amazing place last year. I'm sad to be moving because I'll miss all the wonderful residents, but I'm happy to be leaving management, as it seems they've become what every other apartment complex in Provo has become: a way to milk college students for every penny they have. The two stars I gave are for the people, location, and low rent.

5 stars for the great management. While most other apartment complexes in Provo try and find every way to keep your deposit, the colony gave me back almost my full deposit (they took out five dollars because of a late fee...which is reasonable). This is just one example of how The Colony treats students fairly. It's definitely a different experience from the one I had at Liberty Square the previous year. There's also a great social atmosphere. I would totally recommend living here.
