that did not drain. This extra water often causes a film of some kind of pink/orange growth I have never seen anywhere else but in a shower. Its a smaller dishwasher too. Can't fit the same cookware that I could in the old apartment. 2nd, the closet is unbearably small. Granted, I know my last apartment was generous with the closet size, but it is impossible to fit both my wife's apparel and my own apparel in the same closet. The extra shelving we've added to compensate makes it a really tight fit. 3rd, poor design choices in the bathroom. WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND SPLICES THE LIGHTS AND THE FAN ONTO THE SAME SWITCH?? I took a look inside just to be sure, and they spliced the lights and the fan wires to the same switch. It would have been just as easy to wire them to 2 separate switches. I personally like to turn the lights off while continuing to vent the bathroom, when needed (if you get my drift...). They also did not install a hand towel hook / rack. And unless they intend for my wife and I to share the same towel hook, there is no place to hang up a hand towel. 4th, stacking the washer and dryer could have created closet / pantry space that is bigger than the bedroom closets. 5th, I hate staring into someone else's front living room every time I open my blinds. I swear the mounted air conditioning unit is not well insulated. You can literally feel a draft standing next to it in the winter. The marble patterned laminate on the counter tops is a nice style, but its not real stone. Not a deal breaker though. Wood patterned plastic flooring is nice. Wife says she likes the carpet. I'd rather have continuous flooring, especially since the carpet stunk of dog when we moved in. Maintenance has almost always been next-day service. Great service there. Management has sometimes been slow to respond to emails, but otherwise great to work with. All in all, I would recommend this place as a good place to live. Definitely better than the places we could afford to live in Atlanta, GA, FOR SURE. Management is good to work with. My real complaint is this complex obviously was not well thought out, and was not designed with the user / resident in mind. A couple bucks more in the bathroom, and perhaps slightly more money spent in the appliance choices would've gone a long way (I am never buying any GE appliances after this apartment, essentially everything is GE here). Decent enough apartment, just a little frustrated with some design choices.
see moreThe Bedrooms are way smaller than they seem in the photos. We have a queen bed and we cannot open our door all the way because it hits our bed frame. The bedrooms are exactly the same size. I wish one was slightly bigger to be and actual master bedroom. Also the closets are small. I have one and my husband uses the closet in the 2nd bedroom. There is no way you could fit a bedroom dresser in the rooms with a bed. We love the newer appliances, modern grey paint, faux wood floors, and the carpet is nice. We will be here until we move from Rexburg!
