It should not be one star it should be NO stars, false advertising, one month free rent is a lie, and they charge 250 dollars administrative fee, does not go towards anything, non refundable. They do not give you all the information up front they tell you you have sign the lease and come up with money and you only have a day to decide. Should not be able to get away with this, terrible way to do business

My wife and I moved here about 10 months ago, and it has not been the best experience. The biggest issue if the bugs and spiders. We have seen over 40 spiders in this time, and have heard of other tenants having issues with black widows (although we have not seen any black widows in our unit). We had a serious issue with ants for a few months in the summer (they were even getting into our fridge) and are having continuous issues with box elder bugs, fruit flies, and occasionally mosquitos. The second big issue is the apartment was filthy when we moved in. The master bedroom wreaked of dog urine, the floors and tub were filthy, and the windows had dead bugs in the window sill. The apartment was certainly not cleaned, although we were assured it was. They did replace the carpet fairly quickly, but why wasn’t it replaced or at least cleaned before we moved in? Other than that, this place has been just OK, but those are big issues for my wife and I. The management and maintenance folks are pretty friendly and responsive, but this apartment is cheap, both in price and quality.

Do not move here unless you like SPIDERS and ANTS. My husband and I have lived here for just over five months and have already seen 19 spiders (we're keeping track). That might not seem like a lot to some, but we're not even in the hottest months yet, and the sightings are constant. Also both my husband and I are terrified of spiders. For comparison, in our last apartment we saw maybe five spiders total in an entire year. The ant problem is even worse. We deal with ant trails almost daily; in the kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedrooms, and even inside the FRIDGE. We’ve submitted multiple maintenance requests, and to be fair, management is very quick to send pest control (usually within a few days). However, pest control has sprayed our unit four times in the past five months, and the bugs keep coming back almost immediately. The apartments are very poorly constructed, with visible cracks, openings and even holes from plumbing pipes that make it easy for insects to get in. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind sharing your space with bugs, maybe this won’t be a dealbreaker, but if you’re like us and want a clean, pest-free home, please do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE. We have seven months left in our lease and we are counting down the days to move.

I lived here for a little over 2 years. There were several issues. FYI, they hold contests where they have residents give 5 star reviews to win a $150 gift card. Not ONCE did anyone shovel our stairs or walkways. Either my husband or I took care of it. They provided us with a quarter bucket of salt at the beginning of winter. We bought our own shovel. There were SEVERAL periods of time that garbage wasn't picked up or the water was shut off due to non-payment (this is included in rent, and they just didn't pay it). I was told this by the city. In the spring and summer, there are elm seed bugs EVERYWHERE! There are also always ants. I didn't have a dog but noticed that no one comes by to empty the dog poop receptacles. There was a 3 month stretch of time that there were poop bags piled up around it. I notified management once a week. There are also unsavory people who live there. I couldn't tell you how many times the police were there for one issue or another. There were several times SWAT showed up for our next-door neighbor, and my husband was greeted with a gun in his face while cleaning out our car. That was in May 2024. We finally bought a home and provided them with a 90 day notice to leave after our lease was up. Once we moved out, I had to fight them tooth and nail for our deposit back. It took them 2 1/2 months to get it to us and they only did after threat of legal action. And despite leaving the apartment SPOTLESS, they kept half the deposit for "cleaning". Steer clear of this place and anywhere else managed by NXT.
