My experience at The Crossings has been deeply disappointing and honestly concerning. From the way complaints are handled to how renewals and transfers are managed, there is a clear pattern of unfairness and inconsistent treatment. Concerns are dismissed, follow-ups are delayed or ignored, and policies seem to shift depending on who is asking. There is no sense of equal treatment or accountability. The most alarming issue has been renewals and transfers. Residents are repeatedly told there is “no availability” due to overbooking. However, units somehow become available under different circumstances. That lack of transparency raises serious concerns about discrimination and selective decision-making. It feels biased. It feels unequal. And it does not feel fair. Housing is not something people can afford uncertainty with. When management applies policies inconsistently and fails to provide clear reasoning for decisions, it creates an environment that feels discriminatory and exclusionary. No resident should feel like they are being treated differently or pushed aside without explanation. The ongoing issues with unavailable transfers and renewals - only for exceptions to seemingly be made - are extremely concerning. At best, this reflects poor management. At worst, it reflects unequal treatment. Prospective residents should ask detailed questions about complaint procedures, renewal guarantees, and transfer policies before signing anything. Transparency, fairness, and equal treatment should be the standard - not the exception.
Not to mention you will never get a call back or get patched through past AI. Talk about avoidant

Moving here was the WORST decision of my entire life! Wish I could rate it 0 stars. They have made me feel completely unsafe living here and they do not care about their residents. They have come into my room as I’m sleeping and taken unnecessary pictures of my room for “inspection.” These people were Jessie and Nancy and management had nothing to even say about this. If you have a concern, you will not get help from them and they will instead give you attitude and say bad things about you right in front of your face. The office staff is so unproffesional as well as management. You can also never get out of your lease and they will make you feel trapped, even when you don't feel safe. Parking is terrible and super overpriced, and if you don't pay for it your car will get broken into. In addition, there is also roaches inside apartments and they are not helpful. Overall, do NOT live here. Although, the maintenance staff is super friendly and do always help me when they can.

Do not live here. The office workers are rude and unprofessional. They will increase your rent every lease with no explanation. Parking is overly expensive, if you do not want to pay for parking in the lot you will get your car broken into on the street. During a unit check, the workers walked into my roomates room while she was asleep and naked. They still took photos of her room for unit check. There is no guest parking, your guests will be towed if they parking in staff or future resident spots. Apartments have roaches. The mail room is a disaster. The elevator permit is expired. The bus to school is always out of service. However, the maintenance staff is amazing. They hold this place on their backs.

Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever lived — zero stars doesn’t even begin to cover it.
The Crossings in Sacramento is a complete nightmare. Management is shady, unresponsive, and downright dishonest. They refused to return my deposit and even charged me for damage caused by my roommates — despite clear proof it wasn’t me. They just don’t care.
The place is filthy, overrun with roaches, and reeks of neglect. My roommates constantly smoked inside even though it’s supposed to be a non-smoking property, and management did nothing about it. It’s like they only care about squeezing every last penny out of you while providing absolutely nothing in return.
The rent is ridiculously high for what you get — broken appliances, disgusting hallways, and an office staff that treats you like a nuisance instead of a resident. The whole operation feels sketchy, from their “mystery” fees to the way they conveniently ignore maintenance requests and deposit disputes.
Do yourself a favor: stay far, far away from this place. You’ll regret ever signing a lease here. It’s not just bad for students — it’s bad for anyone who values their sanity, their money, or basic human decency.

I definitely would not recommend this place at the expense of having your car broken into. Since I’ve moved here there has been a lot of cons over pros when it comes to the cleanliness, the lack of security that the leasing office claims is there, and the lack of accountability the apartments have for their residents. You have to advocate for yourself here and TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING! they will charge you for any and everything and you have to have receipts to back it up. Since being here, I have had my car broken into twice one inside AND outside the gate. I thought paying $175 a month for my own parking spot would provide a peace of mind and I was wrong. When I first moved in I was also charged over $280 for a furnished couch that was damaged and being that I had just moved in the middle of the lease term they still charged me. I had to go back and forth time and time again about charges being made on my account. I had to have pest control come twice to spray due to the bugs that were in the home. My experience here doesn’t make me want to renew again and the crossings need to improve. This is unacceptable.
