Relet for Unit A331 at Ivory University House, for the lease starting August 1. This is the 455 square foot plan, the largest studio Ivory builds, and it's a corner unit. That floor plan sold out a long time ago and there's a waitlist on it. People in my building have already asked me whether I'm moving. Taking this relet skips the waitlist entirely and the unit is yours. The unit 455 sq ft, third floor, corner. Full kitchen with a full size fridge, electric range and oven, dishwasher, quartz counters, and enough cabinet space to actually cook and store real groceries. Walk-in closet with built-in shelving. Fully furnished with bed frame and mattress, couch, coffee table, desk and chair, dresser, and nightstand, though you're welcome to bring your own instead. Private bathroom, private entry, no roommates, nothing shared. Corner windows face the valley and the Wasatch, so you get direct afternoon light and the sunset over the mountains every evening. None of the other floor plans get that. Individual thermostat that keeps up in both January and July. Free Wi-Fi. It's also the closest unit on the floor to the laundry room, which is the room next door it is free and has large washers and dryers, so all you bring is detergent. The stairwell is right outside the unit with the elevator mid-building. Location Thirty seconds to campus, across the TRAX line. About five minutes on foot to the Eccles School of Business. Directly across from Kahlert Village and the Huntsman Center. The TRAX stop is a one minute walk, so downtown and the airport are easy without a car. Parking is available on site for a separate fee if you want it, though plenty of people here skip having a car entirely. The building Built in 2023, so everything is still new. Brand new gym with racks, free weights, machines, and cardio, genuinely everything you'd need. Private study rooms, plus common rooms in every building with big TVs, foosball, shuffleboard, and free board games. Art studio, music practice rooms, recital and lecture hall, on-site tutoring, yoga and fitness programming, cooking classes. Outside there's sand volleyball, a large lawn people tan on, amazing grills, and fire pits, all free to use. Small market by the gym with drinks, snacks, protein bars, and frozen meals for when you're in a pinch. Living here Everyone in the building is a U student, and the common spaces are built so you meet people without having to try. I've made most of my friends here. Ivory runs events constantly and food is included at basically all of them. There's a big ski and snowboard crowd, and Ivory puts on free waxing and tuning nights in the building during the season. Group hikes go out regularly and are easy to just show up to. They bring in speakers often, and this year I had dinner with the mayor of Salt Lake in the building where we could ask her anything we wanted. During finals they load you up with snacks, energy drinks, and whatever else you need to get through the week. Management is on site in the next building over and has been genuinely helpful every time I've needed something, including around exams. Neighbors have been quiet and respectful, I've never had a noise issue. No meal plan requirement either, which is unusual for on-campus housing and saves you real money since you have a full kitchen. Scholarships, which most people don't realize exist Ivory funds nine separate housing scholarships out of the building's own proceeds, including the Clark and Christine Ivory Foundation Housing Scholarship, the H. Roger Boyer scholarship, the Neal A. Maxwell scholarship, and several others. You submit one free application, and you're automatically considered for all of them. Residents get these routinely and they can take a meaningful chunk off your rent. It's all on the Ivory University House site under Scholarships. Cost $1,565 a month, all in. Rent covers internet/electricity, water, trash, sewer, the furniture, and every amenity in the building. Timing Lease starts August 1, but if you are not ready for signing and moving in by the I will be covering rent until the relet is finalized, so you only start paying once you actually take it over.
