DO NOT LIVE HERE
This apartment complex is an absolute nightmare. I lived here for one year as a college student because it was affordable and close to campus, but it was the worst housing decision I’ve ever made.
1. No Parking
They didn’t have enough spaces for residents, so I had to park on the street the entire year. My car was broken into MULTIPLE times and got hit TWICE. They take your money but can’t even guarantee a parking spot.
2. Awful Maintenance
It took WEEKS after I moved in just to get in contact with someone to remove the extra beds from my room and fix my blinds. The AC was either completely broken or so aggressive that it created literal ICE in my room. And when I had a fly infestation? Maintenance did absolutely nothing. I had to live with swarms of flies for TWO WEEKS.
3. No Building Access
I was NEVER given a key fob to get into the building. I was locked out constantly and had to wait for someone to come out and let me in like I didn’t even live there. Meanwhile, the building locks barely worked anyway and I wasn’t the only one complaining about it.
4. Scam on Move-Out
The final insult: I turned in my key and filled out the move-out paperwork as instructed. Then I get an email saying I’m being charged $300 for not turning in my key and that I’m not allowed to dispute it. Absolutely unbelievable.
This place is disorganized, unsafe, and dishonest. They take advantage of students who don’t have many housing options. If you're considering living here, DON’T. You’ll regret it like I did.

Horrible place to live I should’ve payed an extra amount to live somewhere else, my roommates are cool but that’s the only good thing about this place. When I first moved in I don’t think the cleaned the apartment after the old residents moved out because it was a complete mess. The floors were all sticky as if someone dropped something sugary and left it there to dry, the carpets were full of fur even tho they “don't allow pets”. Felt bad for my roommate since he’s allergic and all of the fur stuck in the carpet made him sneeze for like a week straight. THE WIFI IS SUPER UNRELIABLE!!! It’s been on and off for like 2-3 weeks now and makes it impossible to get any work done, I also do a side hustle that I had to stop because I did not have any wifi which made me lose around $400-$500. The drains were clogged too and they were disgusting because I had to unclog it myself. Also the gate randomly stopped working when I had work at 5 am and I was there waiting for like an hour along with other people behind me trying to leave. The gate keys are also apparently “sold out” so for a while I had to wait for someone to pass by to open the gate. No idea who had that dumb idea to make something that not everyone has and that’s sold out a necessity but ok. Go anywhere but here. Go live at a frat house at this point at least the wifi probably works there. I would give this place negative stars if I could but I need to put 1. Anyone who gives it 5 stars is lying and don’t believe them

At Fifty Twenty-Five, your dignity is worth as much as you can pay. 3 years I have lived here (for financial reasons, not by choice) and have had nothing short of the most insulting experience at every turn with this complex. Be it dead rats, live rats, cockroaches, and all pests that can be named that are native or introduced to Southern California, they are at 5025. Our light broke a week ago and I immediately put in a service request and nobody has reached out to me regarding fixing it. If I try to call to ask about it, an AI assistant doesn’t answer my questions and badgers me to fill out a service request like I haven’t already. I haven’t spoken to a human agent of this complex in months but have been assailed with advertisements for post-pay models and lease addendums. If you want a financial product and not a college apartment, I bid you apply to 5025 and all shall be yours! If you want an actual apartment, just sacrifice a little bit of QoL and get something off CL, commute 10+ miles in return for getting your own space, dignity, and respect for less than 1/2 a bedroom in a suite that should sleep 2 costs.

It was totally ok living here, it's not that bad. It's a normal place and there are definitely positive aspects of living here as well as negative. I like the sense of community you can find through events, and since there are many buildings, there are more people who go to the events. I'll talk about some of my complaints based on my experience and I have a few.
Personally they've been slow to fix things, a few things in the apartment didn't work when we got the place, and as others have said they don't clean the apartments well enough between tenants. Also you start noticing things around the building that are poorly maintained or designed.
Maintenance requests have taken a long time and when I told them that, they said they had no estimate for how long it would take to get it fixed, because there's a lot of requests due to everyone moving in. It would make sense if they kept the places in good condition or fixed them before move in day, like over the summer.
What broke/ was broken: When we came in the AC unit was broken, the blinds in my room fell off (when I pulled them), and my window didn't open and close correctly. The ac was fixed very quickly. The drains weren't clear enough in my bathroom sink/ shower so it can pool there. My roommates shower had the same problem. Our microwave broke and they're taking a long time to fix it, (6+ days), or give us a temporary one. A microwave is ESSENTIAL in a modern home.
Importantly, the wifi has been down occasionally. At those times, if you don't have a hotspot, students can't do homework or anything.
Building maintenance and look and feel: Some of these are minor but they affect the feeling of the building. For design, the front entrance for building 2 for walking in is next to the parking garage, but to go into the elevator room where you access the rest of the building, you go through an area that is part of the parking garage a bit. Then to go up, you go in the elevator which is stinky and only takes you up 1 floor, from where you have to take another elevator if you're on floor 3 or higher. Another elevator is loud and creaks. 2 elevators seemingly sometimes glitches and stops at random floors. The roof of the parking garage hasn't been lit at night so it's been completely dark.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. It is cheaper in the area but not worth it at all. Wifi is almost always out and when it is on it is horrible. Room conditions are alright and although it looks close to SDSU it’s a 30 minute walk. They have a bus to SDSU but it’s not good and often does not fit enough people waiting in line. Made three requests for maintenance and they never came after three weeks.
