Avoid subletting here!!! They display a certain price, confirm over email and over the phone that there are no further charges and then keep tacking on charges. I started getting charged 3X the price of standard renters insurance without my consent and then was told that it was mentioned in my lease (which is more than 60 pages long and impossible to read). No building I have ever rented in has forcefully charged me for renters insurance, much less one 3X more expensive than typical offerings. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are disappointing, the gym is dark, dingy and smelly and the common areas are equally sad. I didn’t take the bad reviews seriously but I urge you to. Please pick Theory or Oliv or other options.

They’re now sending random messages to people on instagram dissing other apartment buildings to get residents … “ Hey! We've been hearing some buzz about delays at Trailside Il... if you're still looking for a place to live, we've got move-in ready spots for $999 a month available at Nolan - no delays, no surprises. Want more info?” Really?? This is so low and unprofessional. Really sums them up.

Our unit at Nolan Apartments was an active health hazard. We had a standard rate 4 x 2 unit located next to the garbage bins, with every window of the unit being above a bin. Whenever our windows were open, the garbage smell and particles would enter our unit. We would also be woken at 6-8 a.m. almost daily due to the loud noise. Additionally, one half of our unit was constantly warm due to the fact that our floors were heated (the floors were not meant to be heated). It would get hotter than 100°F during the summer, even with fans and AC, and one of the bathrooms was completely unusable. All of these issues led to all of the members of our unit moving out early.
Furthermore, we had negative interactions with the rude management which added to our awful experience. We were not provided inspection reports (as required by Washington state law), even after requesting them for a month. The only positive part of our experience was with the maintenance workers who were kind and timely.
So honestly, don’t live here, you’re better off spending your money on other student housing that isn’t an immediate health risk and doesn’t have incompetent management.

I don’t typically write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to spare others the trauma I've endured. My friend and I signed the lease for a 4 bedroom appartment at Nolan after having toured their 4 bed 2 bath. They refused to show us the real flat and te sample flat was decorated beautifully. To our dismay, when we actually go the appartment it was not cleaned properly, ceilings were unpainted and the windows etc were all extremely dusty, the carpets caused us allergies and the management refused to help. So we spent a lot of time on our own + money (getting the carpets cleaned professionally to avoid allergies) to make the place livable and clean. 2 months after we had finally settled in, Nolan sent us an eviction notice saying that they are trying to "optimize space" and thus we had to vacate the appartment within 5 days (as per the fine print on the lease, they are allowed to do that). They assigned us a 2 bed flat. We along with our guarantors talked to the management several times as moving during the middle of the school year, while end terms were going on was a huge problem. They were of no help, more so the management was extremely rude to us as well as to our parents. Finally we moved to the 2 bed, this appartment was the size of a match box - with no windows whatsoever besdies one each in our room which overlooked another building - the appoartment was dark at all times we never knew when the sun was even out. It was like living in a dungeon. Certainly not the flat that we had signed up for,. On moving, the heater was not working the dryer was broken and so was the sink incinerator. There was also barely enough storage space in the kitchen. All in all a terrible experience with the Nolan Management, would not reccommend at ALL!

I've been living at Nolan for two years, and my overall experience has been disappointing. When we first moved in, the apartment was dirty and had several appliances that didn't work correctly. The management was rarely helpful with our concerns, and I found myself submitting service requests every 2-4 days for issues like a dislodged dishwasher, clogged sink, malfunctioning blinds, etc.
Also, there were multiple nights where the front door of the apartment was broken. One night, the door handle fell off completely, and my roommate and I couldn't get into the apartment, forcing us to spend the night elsewhere. Another time, I lost my key fob and they took over a week to replace my lost key fob, despite them initially promising a one-day turnaround. This was frustrating because I had to pay a hefty fee to get it replaced and they couldn't even give it to me when they promised. Not to mention it is also dangerous to have to wait outside of the building for a roommate to come down and get me.
Worse, the package room was broken into, resulting in the loss of my valuable items, including an expensive necklace. When I asked for help, they refused to take responsibility, citing non-functional security cameras and showing no sympathy. They couldn't even offer more information so all I was told was that someone broke into our package room and our packages got stolen.
Lastly, when I moved out I had an outstanding charge of over $300 for cleaning. This is extremely frustrating because my roommates and I spent over a week cleaning the apartment because we did not want the new tenants to move into a dirty apartment like we did.
Do not sign this apartment, it is not worth the money. You can find many other apartments nearby for the same or less price that is much better.
