Don't pick a place by its name. The Hills at Lehigh on Johnston Drive and The Meadows at Lehigh on East Boulevard both sit 4.2 miles from campus, per FMP's commute widget. That's a bus ride, every day, both ways.

The rent isn't bad. The Hills lists two-bedrooms at $1,500 ($750 each), and The Meadows lists two-bedrooms from $1,525 and a three-bedroom townhome at $2,155 ($718 each). But you're saving maybe $600 a month versus the South Side and giving up the walk home from a Friday on 4th Street. Some people take that deal. Know you're taking it.
