Freshman Live-On Requirement
Aveda Arts and Sciences Institute Austin does not provide on-campus housing of any kind. All students enrolled in cosmetology, esthiology, or instructor training programs are responsible for arranging their own housing in the Austin area prior to starting their program.
Off-Campus Eligibility
Because there is no campus housing, all students live off campus. Students typically rent apartments or rooms in the neighborhoods surrounding the school's location on Middle Fiskville Road in the North Loop and Hyde Park area, or in more affordable districts further north or east.
Lease Timing
Austin's rental market is competitive year-round. Students should begin searching at least 60 to 90 days before their program start date and be prepared to act quickly when a suitable unit becomes available. Month-to-month and shorter-term leases exist in Austin but carry a price premium over standard 12-month agreements.
