Rio Grande Square Student Apartments

I lived here for a year and had a great experience! The Westside Group is, so far, the most helpful and proactive property management company I've worked with while living in Austin. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed in a very timely manner and the staff at the office and the maintenance crew were all very pleasant. As for the unit, it was small but very nice inside; perfect for someone living alone or even a couple if they don't need much space. The fact that it's within walking distance of campus and some restaurants is always a plus. I would recommend this place to others in a heartbeat!

I've lived here since early August. Since late August, either one washer or dryer has been broken at any given point in time. However recently *both* dryers have been broken for weeks. Unfortunately, these are coin operated and you can't be sure if they're working or not unless you actually put money into the machines. They've taken at least $10 from me in my attempts to dry my clothes. The on-site laundry is advertised, but don't take it at its word. Be prepared to hang your clothes all over your apartment in any attempt to dry them out, or take an hour out of your day taking your clothes to a friends place or a laundromat. Other than that, management has done a good job. There are a couple of small things that have happened here and there, but all around it's a good place to live at besides the glaring issue of laundry. If that were to be fixed, I'm sure my opinion of Rio Grande Square would change.
