I’ve been living at Bear Creek, and overall it has solid advantages especially for students looking for convenience and relative affordability in Boulder. Pros?? 1. More Affordable Than Most Boulder Rentals Compared to off-campus apartments in Boulder, Bear Creek is generally more budget-friendly. Given how expensive housing can be in Boulder, this is a significant benefit for students trying to manage costs. 2. Utilities Included Rent includes major utilities like water, electricity, Wi-Fi, and washing machine/ dryer . Not having to set up or manage multiple utility bills makes budgeting much simpler and more predictable. 3. Study Rooms & Academic-Friendly Environment There are dedicated study rooms, which are convenient during midterms and finals. 4. Elevator Access Having an elevator is a big plus, especially when moving in/out or carrying groceries 5. Convenient Bus Access There’s a bus stop right outside, and buses run frequently. This makes commuting to campus easy Cons?? 1. Inconsistent Hot Water There have been multiple instances where there was no warm water at all. While occasional maintenance issues are understandable, this has happened enough to be noticeable. The water has sometimes been extremely cold beyond what most people would consider tolerable. 2. Older Furniture The furniture feels dated and somewhat worn. It’s functional, but not modern or particularly comfortable. 3. Thin Walls Noise can travel easily between units. If you’re sensitive to sound, this could be an issue, especially during busy times of the semester. 4. Squeaky Bed Frames The bed frames can be quite squeaky, which can become annoying over time. Overall Impression ✨ Bear Creek is a practical choice for students who prioritize location, cost predictability, and convenience. It’s not luxury housing, and there are some maintenance and comfort issues, but the included utilities, transportation access, and study-friendly setup make it a reasonable option for CU Boulder students. Lastly it’s quite hard to get an apartment here so keep other options open.

Decent enough space wise and there is a bottle filler in the building. Staying here for an internship, luckily for free. Paper thin walls, expired vending machine food, bubbling floor laminate, windows in apartment don’t close properly, bathtub faucets drip in multiple rooms. The beds are awful… they are rock hard and are so noisy you could move your leg a few inches and it will still make loud noise. Dryer broke and to get my money back for 2 cycles I had to fill out QR code to get a couple dollar check sent. If I was a student here, I would refuse to live here.
