Such a nice apartment compared to the other boulder apartment complexes. Leasing manager is SO SO friendly she literally knows residents by name-- shows how much she cares. If you have any problems they are basically fixed immediately. I renewed as well, plan on staying here for a while.

The apartment is insanely overpriced for what you get. The paint job was clearly a rush job, they obviously don’t do any cleaning or maintenance between tenants, and everything breaks or is already broken. The second star is because they do have decent amenities including the pool and gym.
My shower drain was completely clogged the first day I got here and didn’t get fixed, plus the walls are genuinely filled with mold between the tiles. The rooms and shared spaces are too small to be charging over $1000 plus utilities. I don’t even want to think about what else might be filled with mold or other dirt and grime because I don’t think I’ll clean my clothes here again.
The apartment smelled a little moldy the day I moved in and we haven’t really been able to get rid of the smell since. Leasing office closes without notice frequently (not always but often enough) and our mailbox doesn’t actually lock. If you’re in it for meeting new people and just having a place to sleep then go for it but otherwise I would NOT recommend moving in here.

Sterling Boulder Apartments is one of the most overpriced, rundown places I’ve ever seen. The building is dilapidated and filthy, with “amenities” that are constantly broken and rarely fixed in a timely manner. They have the audacity to charge $1,000 a month for a SHARED room around 60-70 sq ft that’s actually smaller than most dorm rooms. They wouldn’t even let us tour the place before signing and now I know why.
The overall condition is depressing — chipped walls, foul hallways, grimy common areas, and a paint job so garish it feels like living in a circus tent. For the price they charge, you’d expect at least basic cleanliness, reliable maintenance, and a professional environment, but you’ll find none of that here. When I moved in, the sinks were rancid and the carpet was not worth setting even your feet on. Save your money and sanity — this place is not worth it!

Absolutely horrible experience with this apartment. Upon the first week of my daughter moving in, it was filthy and the washer was full of mold (which she didn’t know until she washed her clothes) and the dryer did not emit heat. Had to go round and round to get these appliances replaced. Maintenance was very friendly though. Now, upon moving out, no communication from ANYONE regarding our deposit. It’s been 82 days since she moved out. We left the apartment spotless and clean, unlike it was when she moved in. The amenities and location of this apartment were good, but many more negatives than positives, would not recommend!

The leasing office is difficult to reach, very inconsistent with communication. The value of the apartment and complex is not a good value for the rent. They don't take care of their apartments; always something broken (they'll charge your security deposit for things that just haven't been taken care of/ replaced). Maintenance (although very helpful and nice) is so hard to get an appointment with. The pool/ hot tub is out of service more often than not. I've even sent an email expressing my concerns about the living situation and never got an email back. Overall very negative experience for the two years I've been here, and I would not recommend.
