- Refused to return my deposit - Homeless people slept in the hallways - Management is basically un-contactable - Fixtures are cheap and fall off regularly But the lighting is good and the maintenance guy is fantastic

**TL;DR: Even with an appointment, they don't care to give you a tour, homeless issues, and management is extremely lousy.** I scheduled an appointment earlier today. I arrived on time, but the leasing office door was locked. There is a sign that says "Leasing Office on 2nd floor. Ring doorbell for assistance". I did so, and no one opened the door. I waited for a few minutes and decided to call the leasing office. No one picked up. I waited an additional 15 minutes outside against my better judgement and no one came to the door or called me back. Abysmal service, clearly. If I can't get a hold of the leasing office with an appointment, I can't imagine how I'd get a hold of them if I encountered an issue while renting there. While waiting, a kindly resident approached me and we got to chatting about their experience living here at Violet on Broadway Apartments. They have lived here for a few years now (~5 years) and expressed to me their concern over the homeless camping under the nearby bridges, entering building lobbies, and staying in the carports. I was not aware there was a homeless shelter nearby. Apparently the residents here have been asking for a few years now for the apartment buildings to have locks installed for peace of mind so only residents can access the buildings, and while Violet management has stated many times that they WOULD install these locks, clearly nothing's ever come of it! This resident has lived here as long as they have because admittedly, the rent is cheap and that's hard to come by if you want to stay in Boulder. Valid! The resident also informed me that management has been terrible, and many other residents have been since driven away. Essentially, they've experienced the same thing I did with my short visit to the leasing office - can't get a hold of them, and they never address issues that residents need fixed! I waited a few hours after my tour, and still, no one has attempted to call me back, explain, or reschedule. I saw someone else experienced the same issue while trying to tour Violet on Broadway Apartments. Can for sure say this was a waste of my evening (with the exception of meeting the kindly resident).
