Brandy Torbett was fantastic, answered all questions and was able to help me get into an apartment asap!

I wanted to like living at Riverview, but my experience has been consistently frustrating and disappointing. I keep my apartment clean, yet I had ants coming out of my bathroom faucet handle which is honestly unbelievable. On top of that, my heat didn’t work properly in the winter, and my unit sat at 52 degrees in January. That’s not just uncomfortable. It should be unacceptable but what am I to do when maintenance response has been extremely poor and don’t really care about a renters needs. I reported a broken bathroom light and had to follow up repeatedly for an entire month before anything was done. Calling the office is just as frustrating as I reach out at least every couple of weeks, and most of the time no one answers the phone. Security is also a concern. I had a package stolen multiple times and reported it multiple times, but nothing was done because management just doesn’t care. There’s no sense that residents are a priority here. I’ve also heard the “new management” explanation, but from a resident perspective, nothing has improved. The same issues keep happening, and there’s no accountability. To make matters worse, my utilities were around $300 in January, which is extremely high for a place like this, especially when basic systems like heating aren’t even working properly. Yes, the rent is cheaper than other places, but after dealing with all of this, I would absolutely pay more to avoid these ongoing problems. This has been a lesson learned the hard way.
