We were recently looking for pre-leasing options for housing for my daughter and a room mate. Libby was incredibly helpful. She showed us options at The Lodge but also provided options at their other properties after learning exactly what we were looking for in housing. The leasing staff, especially, Libby, was very informative and helpful. Very engaged and informed staff!

Listen, at the end of the day, this is student apartment, I read a bunch of reviews about how terrible this place is and honestly, I think expectations were too high. It's student apartments right next to the university and for that they were just okay. I had a summer sublet for the summer of 2025 on the sude facing Bixby on the garden level. Some positives, - despite the really hot summer, we never had to turn on the AC because our apartment stay nicely cooled for the duration of the summer. -Very conviently located, there's and under pass right onto university campus just up the road from the leasing office. -Very spacious rooms. -Very pet friendly. -In my experience they were actually very helpful with roommate matching, they always called us prior to telling someone they could move in and gave us their info and asked if we were okay with them moving in and the one time we had to say no they never bothered us again about it. -Front desk staff was wonderful to work with for minor issues. Cons: -Almost every appliance was broken or broke over the course of my stay. The washing machine stopped draining, the dryer didn't work, heaters were peeling off the walls, the cover of the AC unit popped off etc... (side note, when maitance did come they were very helpful and respectful). -There was NO lightning in the living room area at all so bring lots of lamps. -Walls are incredibly thin and scuff incredibly easily and you can hear everything both in and outside of the apartment. -If you do get a room with a window, all the windows only look out to a walking path so I never felt like I could have my window open because people would just be right there. -If you think you can live in the room without a window. No you cannot. It's awful, I know multiple people you live in those rooms and a majority swore up and down that they would like it and they hate it. Plus your room is ever less sound proof because of the mandatory fire vent installed in place of a window. In some final thoughts, my biggest headache with this place was getting my security deposit back. Normally I would complain about this, but shortly after I moved out, the property changed from four star to cardinal management company and from people I've met, I have been told that four star essentials gave the lodge the bird and didn't properly transfer all previous tenants information to their new management. I know it was not their fault, but I still had to call multiple times over several months to get in contact with someone who could finally return my deposit 6 months after the end of my lease, i didn't get it all back (which is fine because I asked them to take my final utilities bill out of my deposit) but they didn't even send me an itemized list of what was taken out and I had to contact them against to get it. They were all incredibly nice to work with, but incredibly disorganized so I don't know how to feel about them. Also, my roommate still has not received her security deposit.
