Many issues. Some you may find applicable as you consider whether you want to live here. 1. If you move in and your house already has people living in it, document every dirty common area you can find, to include inside the dishwasher, refrigerator, cupboards, 1/2 bath cabinet and pantry closet. There will likely be years of caked on dust on all the air vents. They do not professionally clean the common areas when people are already living in the house but will charge you to professionally clean it upon move out. It doesn’t matter if it’s to the same standard as when you moved in or if other people have been living there for years. Also, they don’t charge a cleaning fee to anyone who has a school year lease, only those who stay after school has ended on a full year lease so keep that in mind. There is no reasoning with them on this (I was told the charge would stand even though they did not clean the house when my daughter moved in. They could not have cared less). If you don’t want to pay for this and the house common areas are dirty when you move in, take pictures and videos and document everything on your move in paperwork. 2. My daughter’s house strongly reeked of cat pee everywhere, including in the common areas. While they did try to remedy this, once that smell permeates the house, it is difficult to remove and the smell was there the entire time my daughter lived there. You may not mind pets but just know that people can be irresponsible. So if you do not want this smell or to deal with other pet issues, ask for a house with no animals. If you are allergic, be sure to note that also. 3. The ground floor window locks did not work most of the time my daughter lived here. Someone broke into the house and was easily able to get in because of this. The WiFi sucks big time and repairs take a while.
