Gorgeous kitchen but overpriced as hell. you pay WAY too much for water and electric. $1k a month for an appartment with 5 other people. horrid mail room security. and the wifi is about as stable as a man who cant wall trying to stand.

This has to be the most stingy apartment complex on the planet. I have never lived anywhere with rules this restrictive, petty, and downright hostile to residents.
The amenity room policies are beyond absurd. One person per guest? Seriously? You can’t even bring your own family without being treated like you’re trying to host a nightclub. These are supposed to be amenities—a benefit of living here—not some exclusive privilege guarded like a private country club.
What’s especially frustrating is how out of touch this is compared to normal apartments. Most places allow reasonable guest access, trust their tenants, and focus on addressing actual problems. This complex goes the opposite direction micromanaging residents while offering nothing in return.
The overall vibe is clear: pay rent, stay quiet, don’t invite anyone, and don’t expect to enjoy what you’re paying for. If you’re looking for a place that treats adults like adults, this isn’t it. If you enjoy being nickel-and-dimed, restricted, and constantly reminded how little flexibility you have, then maybe this place is for you.
Otherwise, look elsewhere. There are plenty of apartments that don’t treat basic hospitality like a violation.

This apartment is not worth the money and a bigger headache dispute the pretty interior. In the first building there’s a mice problem and I’ve seen one while in the gym area. The front desk people are nice and helpful but head manager and landlord people are distant and unhelpful, I’ve had to pay multiple fees on rent that was paid in full because of their system not working properly and the refusal to communicate and work through this issue has been disheartening. Their negligence on that front has caused me to have to step out of my schedule to accommodate an issue that they are unwilling to solve including the extra cost that they are excited to place on me. Not to mention the students here make the area dirty and sticky due to their system constant partying, good luck using the elevator when there’s been vomit in it for 4 days.

Daughter moved in August 15. August 28, late at night, she calls us that there is water coming in her window during heavy rainstorm. Sent us a video, this was water coming in across her entire window, running down it. Reported it and Standard gave her fans the next day to dry it out. They casually mention they had a leak here previously but thought it was repaired. Since then, black growth has appeared, they continue to try to find cause of leak. Us parents step in and demand this get fixed and they temporarily move her to a different apartment (her 3 roommate friends stay in the current apartment - no leak for them). Parents take a day off from work to move her. She's isolated by herself in an apartment without her friends. It's now October, walls, ceiling are removed and they still can't seem to find the cause of the leak to repair her room. They aren't sure how to find the leak and have done nothing since. I will also mention the rent nightmare of them changing her room and getting two rent statements plus they want us to move her insurance to the new room (this is THEIR issue) and we are being charged fees for insurance on the new room. We have repeatedly reached out to them for updates with no response or callous answers of "we can't figure it out". Overall, we were happy with the Standard until there was a building issue and now they've made their lack of strong management visible. I understand college students being front desk employees but the actual managers should be able to get things done. Our daughter wants to be living with her friends that she had been excitedly looking forward to since last WINTER when they signed the lease. Meanwhile, Standard is already sending us emails to RENEW for next year! What a laugh.

The Standard is an awesome place to live! Management could definitely benefit from some improvements but the receptions and staff are awesome! Noah (and the maintenance staff) are incredible people and so willing to help and are on top of every aspect of their job. Rhonda has a special place in my heart, the sweetest and most caring person ever and I will miss our hallway catch ups and talks!! The amenities are awesome too! Highly recommend!
