We lived here for one year. We had a good experience overall, from touring, papers, signing, maintenance and dealings with management and staff. Why I docked a star: in our final bill, we were charged as expected in our final fees form except one TBD amount. My complaint is that they charged us nearly $800 for carpet replacement for two bedrooms and a closet even though the only issue was stains and no damage. From what I remember, carpet replacement is a maintenance issue and not something that can be charged out of a tenant deposit, but I’m too poor to do any challenge against it. The paint fee (which was expected except the amount) was $375 for two 2x2 patches where we had accidentally tore the paint. It seems excessive. Overall, it was a good experience. Just think the fees for move out were excessive and feel like a cash grab than a necessity.

Location and apartment are nice, but management is the worst we’ve ever seen. It took them 8 months after we moved in to fix all the many issues that existed before us (broken window, mold, leak in dishwasher and garbage disposal, leak in the ceiling, many stains in cabinets). If you renew they will add additional months to your lease just because they don’t like the idea of you moving out that month, so read the contract carefully, and don’t assume they’re keeping things the same. If you want to move out early the price to break the lease increases with the fewer months you have remaining in said lease (the price for us to break the lease 6 months early was about $5000, when we checked again with 4 months remaining the price increased to $6,500. And the only explaination we got for that was because we “get more concessions” ). When you’re moving out they advise you to not worry about cleaning too thoroughly because they have to hire professional cleaners anywhere, but then charge you exorbitant prices for things that you could’ve fixed if you had cleaned yourself. Management jerks you around, doesn’t explain anything well, takes forever to have maintenance fix anything. There are way better places to live. Save yourself the headaches.
