This vet’s negligence nearly killed my dog. He only survived because I took him elsewhere. My dog started to experience abdominal pain, swelling, diarrhea, and loss of appetite so I took him here to get help. When he got there they proceeded to ONLY run blood tests on his kidneys and electrolyte levels. They did not run the standard CBC blood test that any normal vet would have run. They proceeded to just send me home with no answers and said to bring him back the next day for some barium studies. They proceeded to be extremely careless with my concerns and said everything looked fine and sent me home with no answers or solutions AGAIN. I had to call back to only be told to feed him chicken and rice. He continued to have extremely runny diarrhea multiple times a day. His swelling continued to get worse and his groaning in pain did as well. He almost doubled in size. They started to dodge my calls as I was concerned my dog was dying. I called them multiple times and they denied my calls after only a few rings. Suspecting they knew my number, I had my mom call from her phone and they answered on her FIRST TRY. They proceeded to just tell her to feed him canned pumpkin and come get a kit to collect his poop the next day. I was so concerned that he wasn’t going to make it until then that we took him to an emergency vet and they proceeded to tell us that his Protein levels, and calcium levels were extremely low to the point he had to be admitted to the ICU immediately. His pancreas was inflamed and his organs were all swollen and fluid was leaking through his organs into his abdomen. With how poor his condition was he could have DIED if he had gone any longer without proper treatment. Dr. Carolyn McGuire does NOT care about your pets nor does she care to listen to your concerns! If she had simply ran proper bloodwork she could have helped figure out what was wrong but she did not care at all. She only seemed to care about getting us out as soon as possible. She didn’t care to give any treatment options just a simple “go home and see how he does” as if his condition is just going to change by praying. The emergency vet bill totaled over $3,000 to save his life due to this vets negligence. I will never take any of my pets here again.

The doctor was amazing with my 13-year-old blue heeler. She was very caring and took all the steps to help my dog. She got blood work x-rays everything done in one day and then got him in for surgery the next day. She is an amazing veterinarian and I highly recommend her.
