Since new management took over, the overall environment in this building has noticeably changed. I’ve had multiple situations where people approached me with unnecessary aggression when I calmly asked about concerns involving my child. As a parent of a child with autism, this has been especially frustrating. Normal child behaviors have been met with impatience and hostility instead of basic understanding and respectful communication. It has also become uncomfortable just moving around the building for basic things like taking out the trash or checking the mail with my children, due to the way interactions have been handled. I’m not someone who looks for problems, but I also won’t accept being spoken to disrespectfully. If you have a child with special needs or a child who is active, I would seriously consider whether this environment is the right fit.
