In my view, it is one of the best values in the area for the amenities that are offered, as long as you don't mind the lack of privacy. Due to recent ownership and management changes, substantial and needed repairs have been made and local management has been much more responsive than in previous years. I have lived here more than 6 years.

I never lived here before the new management took over, but I heard plenty of horror stories while searching for housing. After moving in, however, I found that it really wasn’t as bad as I expected, although many hallways and entrances are often quite dirty and don’t seem to be cleaned regularly. Given the property’s age and past issues, there’s definitely room for improvement, but overall it’s a decent place to live. Maintenance can be a little slow at times, which is understandable. The leasing staff has been very helpful whenever I’ve had questions. Even if they can’t directly solve an issue, they’re usually able to provide guidance. My biggest concern is the heating and cooling. Some rooms get extremely hot. Even with a fan running almost constantly and my room not facing direct sunlight, it often stays around 75°F, and during particularly hot weather it has reached 87°F. The central HVAC system could definitely be improved. Another frustration was the roommate assignment process. As someone new to the area, I found a roommate and requested to live with them, but I was told I submitted the request too late and was placed with random roommates instead. There was never a clearly communicated deadline for roommate requests. Two roommates were okay, and one I simply couldn’t get along with despite making every effort to avoid conflict. The roommate-matching system didn’t seem very effective. One nice perk is that residents receive a free CATA bus pass for both semesters. However, because the property is located near the end of the Route 25 and 26 lines, service can sometimes be inconsistent, especially on weekends or during periods of reduced service. This makes the location less convenient for students who frequently travel to campus or downtown, though it may not be much of an issue if you don’t make those trips often. For the price, it’s not a bad option. The biggest downsides are the heating and cooling issues, the distance from campus, and the roommate-matching process. If you’re assigned roommates you don’t get along with, you’re generally stuck with them. Those factors ultimately led me to move elsewhere, but overall, the property is not nearly as bad as its reputation suggests.
