Floor planFloor planDo not recommend living here unless you're able to sleep through the dozens of trains that pass by each night. There are multiple train tracks so close to the building that I wake up from the bed shaking several times each night. Sleeping with earplugs in doesn't help much since the shaking is so bad. You get what you pay for I guess.
Tldr live here if you want it's good, half a star off for the trains, half a star off for limited parking. Pros: New construction, decently nice finishes, new tile, location near the U. Landlord genuinely cares about his business and his tenants and is a thoughtful and caring guy. Maintenance very responsive to legitimate requests. Kitchen sizes in the units are fantastic given the student heavy area. Cons: it's a location with freight trains next to the bedroom window. Landlord was up front about it but I didn't realize how loud they can be. It took about 6 weeks living here for my body to get used to the (literally random) trains which sometimes park their loud locomotive next to the building, or are screeching, or shaking the entire building. Only other con was parking. When I signed the lease the landlord said parking was included and made it sound like he only needed to decide which spot I would be given, however in reality he had a wait-list where it took five months before he assigned me a spot. It's fair to be on a parking spot wait-list but he wasn't upfront about it in our communication; it felt like he wanted to make me happy but ended up stringing me along a bit on that topic. All in all no regrets about living here. I would do it again.
