I haven't called Ascent home for very long, my girlfriend and I got here in September. No apartment is perfect, but I would go out on a limb and say that the management here at Ascent, is as amazing as it can get.
Janice, our property manager is happy to help with anything and everything she can, she is very enthusiastic and is very excited about the work that she does, she is always so helpful whenever myself or my girlfriend need any help at all, and we're super grateful to have her.
Our other favorite person at Ascent is our maintenance man Braxton, he is always super cheerful and always happy to talk to you whenever you approach him, he is very knowledgeable and is very good at the work that he does, any issue that you may have he either already knows how to do it, or has a degree in YouTube University, and does better work contracting professionals that I've seen in the past. I mean this guy knows pretty much everything to do with property maintenance.
As for the property itself it is pretty well maintained, apartments are very modern looking, they have a pool, gym, fire pit, and so many other fun things to do around the area. I'm a student right now going to one of the local universities, and I cannot give a higher rating for Ascent, the price is great, the amenities are great, an overall management is the very best. If I could do it again, I would move here in a heartbeat! 100/10 stars

My husband and I loved living here, and we loved our ward!
We had no problems with management at all.
If there was ever a problem whether it be problems with our apartment, or something going wrong with the whole complex they were on it right away. Braxton does all the maintenance orders, and takes care of Ascent, and he is just amazing, fast, and truly kind.
Janise was also amazing if we had any questions or concerns she always answered them. She was also very kind, and patient adjusting to our needs while we lived there; which was greatly appreciated!
The amenities are nice especially for the rental price.
The gym, pool, basketball court, fireplace, and grill were all great amenities. We honestly wished we took more advantage of the amenities.
There was and is nothing bad or wrong with this place. We would definitely live/rent here again.
Thank you so much Janise, Braxton for all ya'll have done while we have lived there!❤️

My wife and I love living here!! As opposed to some previous reviews, we feel that the management team here has recently taken immense steps to turn Ascent into a wonderful place to live. Janise, Star, and Braxton are very friendly and professional, and we love working with them! They are so kind, and are always available if we need anything. Although Star is leaving soon and we’ll really miss her.
The laundry rooms have recently been updated and are always clean, as are the pool and grill areas. The gym is small but very nice and clean as well, and has everything you need to get a solid workout in. And all this for a very fair price and convenient location. Overall Ascent is a great place to live, we highly recommend it!

‼️‼️‼️ - this place has been the absolute worst apartment complex i have EVER lived that. as a recently married couple, financially this was our best fit. base rent, $1275, perfect! however, their “fees” are absolutely unreasonable. we end up paying almost $1600 and it’s a very small and terrible one bedroom apartment. - do NOT live here unless you know what you’re getting yourself into.
they’re AC system is the worst. it’s shared and you basically get no option to turn it on and off and they’ll also leave you without AC until they feel it is time to turn it on. cracking your window open will make ZERO difference.
they do not care about you or your personal belongings. - i park my car downstairs, which i already pay a ridiculous amount of money to do so, and i noticed some residue that caused damage to my car. i went and talk to their manager and he basically told me “i’m really sorry but the owners won’t care… use some acetone to remove it, it’ll probably work!” it didn’t.
their laundromat situation is a hell of a show as well. it’s convenient that they do provide a laundromat, however, most of the time it is a glorious disaster in there. the floor is SOAKED and no one ever cleans it. they also don’t have a coin machine so they expect you to have your own coins every week to do your laundry, at an outrageous price by the way.
oh, the pictures they have on their website is NOT at all what the apartment complex looks like on the outside. so i’ve provided my own! - the pool is the NASTIEST thing i’ve ever seen. the grill area is in pieces. so don’t be fooled by the pictures online, you’re literally being cat fished.

Union Square (or more specifically Redstone Residential) is the definition of dishonest, greedy, and uncaring.
The first issue that I would like to address is the poop. The amount of dog poop that accumulated on the grass areas as well as the TURF is astounding as well as a health hazard to all the residents that live in the complex. It was an unspoken rule at the complex that the grass areas were a no go zone to walk across unless you were willing to risk smelling like feces at your next class and ruin your shoes. Management tried to address the poop issue with emails littered with empty threats and complaints, but during my two year stay, the poop has only gotten worse.
The parking situation at Union Square is horrendous. The driveway is barely large enough for two small cars to pass each other and there were multiple occasions where I had to back up and allow a larger car to pass before I could enter the driveway. The parking lot above the parking garage was falling apart, there was a hole in the concrete where the parking lot was caving in and in response to this safety hazard, Union Square put a cone and a home depot bucket around it and acted like it did not exist for over a year. Speaking of the parking garage, I would not recommend parking underground if you value the undercarriage of your car, the angle is so steep unless you have a lifted car or SUV you are guaranteed to scrape and almost get high centered on your way out.
If poop and parking issues were not bad enough, the garbage cans were guaranteed to be overflowing every single week. The trash would pile so high that it resembled a miniature model of mount timpanogos and it would ultimately always topple over into the underground parking and scatter everywhere. There were always multiple couches and mattresses littered throughout the complex and piled next to the dumpster even though they have to be disposed of at a landfill. Union Square addressed this issue not by finding the perpetrators, but by threatening to charge every resident a fee because “it was costing them money”.
Overall this place has such great potential to be a great place to live, but Redstone Residential only cares about their profit margins, NOI, and ruining Provo one apartment complex at a time.
(Since I know they will have a crafty response and excuses for all of these issues, here are pictures to validate my claims)
