This was easily one of the most disappointing renting experiences I’ve had. I paid between $820 and $850 per month all in for an apartment that was overpriced, poorly maintained, and nowhere close to the condition it should have been in at move in. When I moved in, there was mold in both showers and under the kitchen sink. Maintenance removed a bathroom baseboard and addressed the mold under the sink, but despite me repeatedly requesting it, they never replaced the shower caulking, which is one of the most basic steps to help prevent mold from returning. They simply left the job unfinished. Letting the new baseboard start giving signs of water damage. After asking multiple times, I gave up. It shouldn’t be a tenant’s job to repeatedly chase management just to complete repairs they already know about. The apartment was also far from professionally cleaned, despite tenants supposedly being charged for professional cleaning when they move out if left in that condition. There was caked on dust throughout the apartment, stains in the carpet, and multiple holes in the walls, including in my bedroom that were never repaired before I moved in. If previous tenants are paying for damages and cleaning, where is that money actually going? The dryer barely worked for months. We submitted multiple maintenance requests, and while someone came out a few times, they never actually fixed the problem. At one point they unplugged it from the wall, leaving dust blowing everywhere, and then never came back to finish the repair. Once again, another issue left incomplete. What concerns me most is that I’m fully expecting them to try to charge us for damage that existed before we ever moved in. Thankfully, I took photos. The value simply isn’t there. This property has zero amenities, yet charges prices that compete with apartments that offer far more. I’m moving to a larger private room for about $200 less per month that includes a pool, hot tub, fitness room, clubhouse and elevator. Looking back, I wish I had compared more options before signing here. Save yourself the money, frustration, and constant maintenance headaches. There are much better apartments in the area for less money. I cannot recommend living here. Hey at least they repainted the exterior.
