Update:
A bandaid fix is not a solution if a problem is recurring. I cannot keep calling maintenance every single week to fix my shower door, disrupt peace, waste my time.
Yes you offered to talk this over through phone but what exactly was I supposed to get out of this? The damage is done, my car smells like a garbage can and I asked for a reasonable compensation which was not fulfilled.
You also have not mentioned the laundry situation nor the police or ventilation situation.
At the end of the day, I have posted an honest review in hopes that no one else has to go through what I have been. Take it as you will.

This apartment may seem fine on paper, but living here has been a different story.
The parking garage constantly smells due to poor ventilation. That odor seeps into the stairwells and hallways, and the strong fragrance used in common areas doesn’t mask it — it just adds to the discomfort. If you park here often, be prepared for that smell to cling to your car.
There is a major recurring safety issue. I’ve submitted over five tickets about a glass shower door that comes off track and poses a safety risk. It still comes loose no matter how many times maintenance tightens it. I’ve had to keep it open at all times to avoid the panels grinding together.
Laundry facilities are unreliable. Each floor has three machines, and when one breaks, it can stay broken for months. I submitted a ticket in early 2024 — it’s now mid-2025, and the machine just has a “not working” sign taped on.
Ventilation is a major issue. My unit has no ceiling fan and no windows that open. Cooking triggers smoke buildup quickly. Your only option is to open the balcony door — and risk pigeons flying in.
The high ceilings do help make the space feel less cramped, and the location is very convenient with shops and restaurants nearby. But it’s important to note: the building is right next to a homeless shelter. There’s frequent police presence, and tents often appear near the entrance, especially at night. Safety can be a concern.
To make matters worse, after I repeatedly raised concerns about overflowing trash, the response was to leave the garbage bins completely open — which only made the odor worse.
It may look appealing online, but the reality is frustrating and not worth the price.

This property is very niche, which makes it unique and great. I work with mgt and they are fantastic. From Manager to maintenance they will take care of you. The train tracks are very close for an easy commute the uofu or downtown. The apartments for what I could see in the model are a great layout for studios. Really take a look at this property and give it a shot.
