I have lived at Ivory University House for a while, but I am desperately trying to move out for next year. This apartment is so expensive, and I thoroughly believe that only kids with rich parents who pay their rent can afford to live here. Although they claim to offer scholarships, they changed their policy for next year and are effectively pricing the scholarship students out. You can no longer live in a 3 bed, 3 bath unit, (which is the cheapest thing they offer) you must live in a studio apartment (which start at $1400 a month). My hunch is because they struggle to fill up their buildings to capacity every year, and they want to milk every cent from the already "economically challenged" students that they campaigned on helping. There are several common areas that sit desolate and empty most of the year. The only rooms I ever see people in are the study rooms. The units themselves are also poorly built and although it looks "luxury," in reality the craftsmanship is rushed. The common areas are nice however, but seeing the expensive furnishings feels like a slap in the face if you struggle to pay the rent each month. It feels like they built the bedrooms themselves as quickly as possible to try and suck as much money as they can from well-off parents. If you're a student who pays their own rent and tuition, you can expect the rent to increase every year and added extra fees. The apartment doesn't care about making things affordable for students who actually financially support themselves, they just cater to the privileged students who don't pay attention to the rising rent year after year.
- Would not live here again
- Poor management
- Overpriced

I love living at Ivory University House! The location is perfect, especially if you're a UofU student, and it's really close to the Trax and bus stations (2-5 mins). The IUH faculty are also very friendly and helpful, and they host a lot of events throughout the months so you can get free goodies, too! The entire area is very clean and well-managed as well.

I’ve really enjoyed living at Ivory. The building is clean, the amenities are great, and the location is very convenient. TRAX and bus stops are only about a 5-minute walk away, which makes getting around easy. The gym, study rooms, and common areas are well maintained, and it’s also very close to campus. Overall, it’s been a very comfortable and convenient place to live. Management has also been helpful whenever I had questions. They also have so many events only for students who live in the Ivory.

Ivory University House is a great on-campus option for students. The building is clean and well maintained, and it offers a lot of great free amenities. There are outdoor grills, fire pits, and a beach volleyball court that make it a fun place to spend time with friends. Trash and laundry are both free and conveniently located inside the building.
Parking is also flexible. You can get a permit for the Ivory lot, or use a U-Permit to park in nearby university lots about a 4-5 minute walk away. The location is also very convenient for transportation, with TRAX and UTA bus stops just a short walk from the building. Overall, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to live on campus.

My time living in the 3 bed, 3 bath at Ivory University House was literally amazing. From the moment I moved in, it felt comfortable, organized, and just easy to live in. Having my own bathroom and so much storage made such a difference — everything had a place, and it never felt cluttered or chaotic. The free WiFi, in-building gym with free weights, and the music room made it feel like everything I needed was right there.
It was also such a peaceful living situation. One roommate is graduating in May and will be gone for the summer, and the other’s family lives five minutes away so she’s barely there, which made the space feel even more open and calm. Overall, it was the perfect balance of privacy, convenience, and community. I genuinely loved living there and would 100% recommend it.
