how these rankings workupdated monthly

These badges come straight from verified reviews on Find My Place, left only by people who’ve actually lived here. Each month we score every place in the market, and the highest-rated earn a spot. Rankings shift as new reviews come in, and we never take payment to move a property up.

the gist Reviewers say staff delivers excellent service, and several praise the convenient campus location and competitive pricing. However, concerns center on limited, expensive parking; significant noise issues; some reporting potential moisture damage in bathrooms; and limited amenities like in-unit laundry. Move-in condition and deposit-handling experiences are mixed.AI-generated from student reviews

Living at The 208 has been the worst living experience I've ever had. I'm a first-year college student at Boise State and chose The 208 because the 4-bedroom setup makes it cheaper for students. Unfortunately, two other college students and I were assigned a roommate who was an alcoholic and meth user, constantly threatened other tenants, had loaded guns, and left trash everywhere. When he was drunk, which was basically every day, he would throw furniture and garbage, break fire extinguisher boxes, steal fire extinguishers, and even go to other tenants' doors and flash his pistol over noise complaints. He also physically assaulted his girlfriend badly enough that other residents called the police. Management ignored all of this for months. He was finally removed about three weeks before my lease ended. The apartment itself was disgusting from the beginning. There was trash everywhere, a massive gnat infestation, and the kitchen appliances were covered in years-old grime and basically unusable. Mold continued getting worse throughout the lease. I eventually paid to have samples tested at a lab, and both came back showing mold growth. Despite repeated complaints, management didn't seriously address the condition of the apartment until 9 months into a 12-month lease. I was offered a room change at that point, but after already buying my own fridge, microwave, air fryer, etc. for my room, moving that late wasn't realistic. My roommates and I repeatedly cleaned the shared areas, only for them to be covered in beer cans and trash again hours later. Even my bedroom was filthy when I moved in, and I left it cleaner than it was when I received the keys. Despite this, management later claimed I had damaged the room and stolen furniture. The "missing" furniture was literally in another bedroom, and I had brought my own mattress because the provided one was disgusting. I have photos, inspection notices, and lab results documenting the condition of the apartment. The biggest issue is that management repeatedly knew about these problems and still did almost nothing. I've also spoken with other residents who had their own complaints about mold, broken plumbing, smoke coming through vents, and other maintenance issues. Even when talking with the staff member, Akaya, the head of the office, she responded to my text messages about my concerns using only AI to respond, resulting in literally nothing getting resolved. Everyone in the office has only shown extreme incompetence at their job and a great example of what it looks like when having no respect for others, yet working customer service. I have photo evidence to support everything I've said, all of which is below. Though my situation is extreme compared to other residents of The 208, it is not completely isolated; Simply take a look at the other reviews that aren't obviously faked. Everything seems to line up with what occurred during my lease as well as other tenants' leases. Speaking with other residents I began to know during my lease, it was unanimous that there were dozens of complaints being made, yet the office still ignored them. I've heard complaints of black mold that the staff won't clean, as well as sinks that haven't been able to drain for months, as well as a vent in someone's room that is blowing smoke, and so many more. DO NOT settle for The 208 just because it's a little cheaper than other college apartments nearby. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! However, for the crackheads out there, you'll love this place! If you would like to see my full review, as I had to shorten it for Google Reviews ,please look at either Yelp, Find My Place or Apartment Home Living, thank you. P.s Yes, I'm aware this could hold over well in court. ;)
