Randomly charges us all time, maintenance will come in unannounced into your room(from a request put in 5 moths before hand), power turns off all the time, didn’t have hot water for like 5 days and they didn’t send anything about, my roommates room makes HORRIBLE sounds every 15 minutes throughout the day and night (same for our friend below in the same room), only an elevator on one part of the building so good luck moving in if you’re on the third floor, dishwasher is basically useless, washer and dryer fit maybe 5 clothing items, and the dryer literally doesn’t dry your clothes(expect to run it 2-3 times, AND can only be on led linen setting or it will non stop scream at you)- oh and out toilet didn’t work for like 2 weeks(yes it took maintenance 2 weeks to come)

This apartment is HORRIBLE. Obviously is overpriced, on top of that maintenance and management suck. Bugs were all over my bedroom when I first moved in, some units are below the ac unit on the roof and have a horribly loud vibration sound almost 24/7. It is difficult to contact management, rent prices are not consistent each month and we just got charged for August utilities in January. The washer and dryer barely work and leak, there are broken heating and ac units in bedrooms, maintenance takes months to fix something- or just never do! I would not recommend this place to anyone- it sucks!

If you take your academics seriously, consider somewhere else. It seems like every other tenant has gigantic speakers, and almost always at least one around us is blasting their bass through the walls, making it quite difficult to study. Can't say if this is the case for the whole building, but I wouldn't recommend chancing it. They renovated all the units somewhat recently, but many of the improvements were done pretty cheaply and are starting to come undone... in our unit, the notable one is the transition from between the two flooring types. Many communal things break and take a while to be fixed -- out of three garage doors, two have been out of service for the last 2 months, as has the elevator in my wing. I'm giving two stars because the front desk staff are excellent, but otherwise, I really can't recommend Mountainaire.

Extremely Disappointed and Concerned
I’ve reached out multiple times regarding the unsanitary and disgusting living conditions caused by my roommate, and absolutely nothing has been done to resolve it. The situation has turned into a serious health hazard, yet management continues to ignore complaints.
They intentionally moved me into this unit with this roommate knowing the state of the conditions of living. I need to be moved out ASAP .
It’s unacceptable that a student living facility meant to provide a safe and clean environment has allowed this to go on without action. The lack of response and accountability from staff shows a complete disregard for residents’ well-being.
Until proper steps are taken to address this issue and ensure clean, livable conditions for all residents, I can’t recommend this facility to anyone. Future residents deserve to know what they might be walking into.

It’s been 80 days, and I still haven’t received my security deposit or the breakdown details. According to Colorado law, the landlord must return the deposit within 30 days (or up to 60 days if specified in the lease). Moreover, my unit was very clean, so there’s no reason to withhold any part of my deposit.

Emma is the best agent at the Mountainaire appartment, since my first visit last year she was very helpful and patient, specially if english is your second language, she will make sure to explain things with kindness and patient to make sure you understand. she really cares about her work and resident concern, every time i had a concern at the appartment i can count on her because she will do the follow up.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE AND I’VE BEEN HERE ONE MONTH!!! They had me sign four different leases before move-in, moved me into a unit with a broken dryer, screen door and shower head. I fixed the shower head myself but they didn’t attend to the other stuff for THREE WEEKS and still wouldn’t give me a discount on rent. In fact, they tried charging the wrong rent, declined my payment even though my account had sufficient funds and then sent back a $40 inconvenience charge. Water started dripping out my fan too because the building is so old and my upstairs neighbor kept letting water on the floor. Scammy, sleazy, rude, etc. The facade of nice college kids in the front office is strictly a facade, they are powerless and are just the messengers for poor, scammer-esque property management trying to take advantage of college kids and working adults fresh out of high school/college. Plus, the people who live here fight in the parking lot, leave dog poop wherever, leave trash in the hallways, etc. Truly a disgusting place and I am appalled that I have to finish a lease here. Absolutely appalled and will forever kick myself for making the worst decision of my life.
