I would not recommend these apartments to anyone.. While it is close to downtown/campus it is not worth dealing with the landlord or property management company who is banking that they can take advantage of you on your move out. I lived there for 12 months and consistently had a difficult time reaching or contacting our landlord that lived on site. Anything from homeless problems, maintenance, the horrible parking situation (by the way you’ll pay $150 for a parking pass each year and you only get 2 per apartment so one roommate will be out of luck). Upon our move out my roommates and I did not hear back about our security deposit within 60 days of our lease ending but a balance was on our portal without any context or documents as to why we owed them. On our lease it said that we were owed receipts, pictures, or other proof of what maintenance had to come in and do. All 3 of us contacted our landlord or the property management company via phone call, email, or text at least once a week from the beginning of August- October 28th with no contact back. Finally on October 28th my landlord called me and said we had an outstanding balance because they had to replace carpets, repaint, etc. I never argued or said I would not pay it I simply asked for her to hold up her end of the lease and provide what we are legally owed. It is her job to do so and had been ignoring us for months. She said she was right on it and nothing changed. I continued to try and contact her until November 28th when I got a letter from a debt collector. Not only did she ignore us as well as the property management company, they neglected to hold up their end of the lease. They took advantage of us as renters. I’d rather pay the balance than hire a lawyer and deal with the hassle of going to small collections court.
