I have not lived here yet but so far, I have noticed that the staff is really sweet. I've also talked to other people that really like the place. The amenities are great and its a beautiful apartment building overall. I love how close it is to everything.
- Great location
- Worth the money

By far the worst corporate center ever. Got pulled over for a “promotional ride” in a golf cart like vehicle where the backseat riders (us) got a ticket and the driver didn’t, when we were told that we could squeeze in (we got pulled over for no head lights nor tail lights). Corporate took ZERO responsibility for this situation.

I lived here for 3 years. The management is terrible, and I truly wish that was an understatement. I had a great time living here, but there were so many issues like the 6th floor being unusable for a whole year (maybe more), leak in piping in the garage, the elevators that broke at least once a week, and basically no care for our concerns. After moving out, I was hit with a nearly $400 dollar cleanup fee, and a majority of the cost was a few small marks on the wall leading to a full bedroom repaint and a picture of a spotless carpet floor leading to an over $100 cleaning fee. I disputed my charges right after move out (in July), and I have yet to hear any news other than “we have escalated your requests but you do not have to pay yet” and contradictory emails claiming my final statement is overdue. Please get it together “Ion”, and for anyone who wants to live here, the short commute is the only benefit you get.

Despite the elevators not working for a few weeks, I really like living at Ion so far. The staff is all really nice and are always working to fix any work orders. The gym is always well maintained and all my appliances work well. Would recommend for any engineers since Zachary is so close.

I do not recommend.
I lived at Aspire last year and it was a pretty great experience. However, since it has become ION, there have been many issues. I understand that transition periods are tough but they have had no issues rebranding everything. Replacing all our apartment number signs, study room vinyl, and painting their logo on the walls.
However 2/3 of our elevators have been broken for weeks and there has been no rush to fix them. We usually have to wait 5 minutes for an elevator, and many have defaulted to taking the stairs (there are 15 floors by the way).

Only got to live here during the fall semester due to other circumstances. The subletting process is a complete joke because they make you pay $350 up front and then whomever sublets the room has to also pay that amount. That $350 supposedly went to “trying” to find someone to fill that room. I personally have posted in all the TAMU roommate groups on Facebook to get someone to sublet. During the pandemic the emails stated that you weren’t allowed to go outside to use any of the amenities which is understandable. I personally wouldn’t live here again due to the high rent for an average unit.

So I have been living here for the last 2 months and I would say it’s not luxury living at all it’s more like average at best. I live on the 6th floor so the ceilings are 10ft so I have to use a ladder (I’m 5’5 and can barely grab anything) to reach anything in the upper cabinets that don’t really have that much space to begin with. The pool was green for a week since they don’t how to balance a ph correctly after it has rained. The elevators will stop working without notice so get ready to take the stairs. Most of the time there is puddles and weird smells coming from said stairs. Today coming back from class I saw resident’s trash still piled up next to people’s door for the 2nd Day in a row. Thanks Valet living. I also saw puke or dog pop on the carpet it smelled so bad that I didn’t even want to go near it to see what it actually was. The gate to get into the garage sometimes is left open so that anyone can get in. I haven’t had any problems of people parking in my spot since I park on the 4th floor but I could see it be a problem on the 2nd. The visitor parking is a chaotic mess trying to explain it to your guests on where to park and where not to is a tricky thing I think explaining rocket science would be easier. Don’t even get me started on the roommate matching. Just save your money and live away from Northgate and campus which I will be doing after my lease is up.
