This place is nothing but a scam, they charge so much for rent when the apartments are not fully functioning. They are so run down. You are better off living somewhere else. They charge you fees out of nowhere and charge 100 bucks for a day late on rent. They dont care about anything but their money. Sometimes I think someone in the office is stealing from the tentents. How come I pay all my rent and utilities and then all a sudden I owe 90 dollars out of nowhere. Everyone in the office dont know what they are doing and I always had to go up there and tell them how to do their job when I shouldn't have to. They should know. Anyways avoid this place at all costs. You will go broke!!! Mind you they charge you ridiculous rent and also got to pay like 140 in utilities and that's not including your gas and electric. Plus the out of nowhere money add ons.

I can strongly say, after living in these apartments for a few years that they do not care for you as tenants in any way. You are nothing but a paycheck to these people who will strive to wring every dollar out of you while trying there best to ignore any problem you may have. I know for a fact that they keep raising the rent by 300$ every year and that there are a few people paying 2800$ a month in JUST the rent in this hell hole. Management is a joke as they are never available anymore, they charge 75$ per vehicle in a yearly parking pass and only give you a 48 hour notice that you need to renew it. There maintenance team is constantly changing out as they can never retain employees, meaning every few weeks it's an entirely new set of people who don't know what they are doing. Also, do NOT be fooled by the photos on there website, these apartments where built in the 60s and 70s and still have all the old wiring, ventilation, and plumbing issues. They just throw a shitty fresh coat of paint on the walls and new carpet and call it "Refurbished and New" and use that to try and validate there outrageous pricing. I'd advise anyone moving to Fort Collins to steer as far away from this place as possible! Honestly, looking at all the good reviews on here, I wouldnt be surprised if they are bots or locals that have been paid to give good reviews, I wouldnt trust ANY of those reviews.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT BUYING A PARKING PASS
I have lived at The Hewing for about 7 months and have enjoyed it, however they do not enforce their parking rules at all. My lot is constantly filled with people who do not have passes and nothing is done about it in an efficient manner despite multiple emails they will not do anything about it. They claim they have to wait 24 hours to call a tow truck but if I paid $75 a car ($150 total in my case) for parking I expect the lot to be clear of cars that do not have a pass regardless of time. Being that they do not enforce their own parking rules don't worry about buying a parking pass and save an extra $75.

I’ve been living at The Hewing for a couple years now, and so far it's been a positive experience. One thing I appreciate is that there are often community events happening that brings residents together. These events not only make living here enjoyable but also help build a sense of community.
Overall, The Hewing is a great place to call home, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly and engaging living environment.
