Montclaire Apartments

I lived at Montclaire Apartments for six years, and my experience was consistently positive. The property is clean, well-maintained, and ideally situated in a convenient area of Fullerton with easy access to shopping, dining, and major freeways. What truly distinguishes Montclaire is its exceptional management team. While I’ve seen a few negative reviews describing the staff as rude or condescending, that has not been my experience at all. In fact, the management has always been professional, courteous, and highly responsive. Maintenance requests are addressed promptly, and any questions regarding policies are handled with clarity and respect. Regarding concerns about community rules, I can only recall two straightforward guidelines during my time here: a request not to use sidewalk chalk and a policy against hanging items in the windows. These seem entirely reasonable and contribute to the overall cleanliness and appearance of the community—not excessive or unreasonable in any way. The leasing and maintenance teams genuinely go above and beyond to ensure residents feel heard and supported. Their communication is clear, their demeanor approachable, and their commitment to resident satisfaction is evident. I would wholeheartedly recommend Montclaire Apartments to anyone seeking a peaceful, well-managed community in Fullerton. Don’t let a handful of outdated or isolated reviews influence your perception—Montclaire truly is a hidden gem.

The whole apartment complex is riddled with cockroaches. We were extremely well kept and clean but our apartment and all of our neighbors had an abundance of roach problems. Management seemed bothered that we were there. Often treating my fiancée and I like we were in debt to them somehow.

Montclair Apartments is a nice community, clean, well kept, and mostly quiet except for the busy road it’s on. The grounds are also well maintained, and the neighbors are friendly. Unfortunately, the management, especially Shannon, really dampens the living experience here. She is incredibly condescending and acts like it’s a privilege for residents to live here, which feels pretty unjustified considering we’re paying tenants. After speaking with several neighbors, it’s clear that I’m not the only one who’s had issues with her behavior. Shannon is also on a clear power trip, enforcing rules that aren’t part of the lease and making it extremely unpleasant to communicate with her. She’s the exact opposite of a pleasure to talk to and seems to actively work to make residents uncomfortable. While the apartments and community are nice, dealing with the management can be quite a headache, so keep that in mind if you’re considering moving here.

This was my first apartment living on my own and I couldn't have asked for a better apartment complex! The office staff Penny and Shannon are very nice and helpful. Also, the apartment grounds are kept very clean and the apartment it self was very spacious. Sadly I had to move to be closer to my job. Highly recommend this complex to anyone looking for a nice clean 1 or 2 bedroom apartment!

Monclaire apartment is the best place to live. I am recently living here with my family and we loved the community. The neighbors are nice and friendly. Penny and Shannon are exceptionally the nicest apartment managers l have come across . Thank you Monclaire apartment for making us part of the family. Kiki
