We lived at Liv Northgate for almost 2 years and only left because we were ready to buy a house. I can honestly give a 5 star review because I really have nothing bad to say about the apartments. We have lived in 2 other “luxury” apartments in Gilbert- both extremely mid compared to our experience at Liv. Price wise, it is extremely competitive to other apartments in Gilbert. Our 1 bedroom that we moved from was raising their rent, and after all the additional charges would have cost us more than the 2 bedroom we moved into at Liv. Liv has more amenities than either apartment we’ve stayed at, far more free events, and the same services such as valet trash, internet, etc, in a package that costs a lot less than what other apartments tack onto their base rent. I honestly thought they were going to be sneaking in a lot of other fees when they told us what our total would be on top of base rent, but their “Liv” package really is a way better deal than the other apartments we’ve stayed at or toured. The apartments themselves are newer and have nice flooring and granite countertops which I feel like is an expectation nowadays. Newer fixtures and appliances too. They have really decent sized patios if you’re on the first floor which was nice to have. Locationally, you’re right next to Morrison Ranch which is a nice and safe neighborhood, so we never felt like we had any weird or concerning stuff going on around the apartment. It is a little bit on the edge of Gilbert I guess you could say, but close enough to all the major areas of Gilbert for shopping, food, etc that you feel like you’re in a quieter area but not too out of the way. The grounds are kept way nicer than the last apartment we stayed at. Their pools have cabanas for free use or you can reserve them which is really nice. Pools were always clean and they have a more kid focused pool, with a mini beach, and more adult pool in 2 different areas of the complex. They also have a large community room that we rented out at a super low price (I think $200 for the full day?) to have a grad party at, and had access to a full kitchen and huge event space. Fitness is super important to us and their gym is pretty good. In the last few months before we moved out, they added a lot to the gym and I used it a lot more than my actual gym membership since it was convenient and they really made it pretty decent to get any sort of workout in. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable and you actually hear back from them right away if you email, or if you call, 99% of the time someone answers the phone. That was another huge issue at other apartments but at Liv, the staff was always available and they knew us by name pretty quickly. Cole and Natalie at the front office are great. The maintenance guys are also really nice and if you put a work order in, they usually are there within an hour and fix whatever the issue is really quick. They also did easy stuff like replacing light bulbs or ac filters whenever you made the request. I think the only complaint I could possibly think of is on weekends, the free parking spaces get taken up pretty quickly. You only get one reserved covered space for free with your lease, so you may have to park a bit far from your apartment to find an open spot if you have a second car and don’t want to pay for a garage. But I don’t think that’s really enough of an issue to give less stars. Overall, we really appreciated the staff at Liv Northgate and their attentiveness and professionalism. The complex itself is really well run and full of amenities and events. The apartments are well kept, and I personally could not find an apartment complex that you get the same level of quality for price. Apartments nowadays tack so much onto the base rent that you’re spending an upwards of $500-$800 more than base rent, but Liv is so much more reasonable and you don’t have to compromise on quality, safety, or experience. Super solid complex and we have recommended it to multiple friends who are looking in the Gilbert area.
