The Langham

Lillian really helped me when I was having a hard time finding a place to live. I needed a place in an emergency but was in massive credit card debt and no one would rent to me. I’m still so grateful for her and everyone that works in this building! The building isn’t perfect but it’s home. The rooftop and views are beautiful. That said… The security isn’t great and sometimes there’s some weirdos in the building and the laundry machines absolutely are so bad I often go to the laundromat instead.

Managers are barely here. Packages get stolen and security either falls asleep during their shift or doesn’t patrol. Laundry machines are currently all broken and they even raised the prices on old and dusty broken down machines. Roaches on every floor. Rent is raised very high on units as soon as someone has moved out even though this building is rent controlled. Constant filming goes on in the building and management doesn’t notify us in a timely manner. Owners don’t care about preserving the history of the building. Main Elevators are damaged due to film crews and people moving. This issue could be fixed if they bothered to fix the service elevator but they dont. Pieces of the ceiling in the halls and stairs are falling and breaking off due to water damage. Old crusty vending machines that barely work in the laundry room. Apartments are giving landlord special.
