Walked in to book an appointment and waited 30 minutes with zero acknowledgment from the guy in the leasing office. Didn’t say hello, didn’t ask if I needed help, nothing. The receptionist at the door was the only welcoming person there. If this is how they treat potential residents, I can only imagine how actual tenants are treated. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. 0/10.

I just moved in and I absolutely love it here! The pool is amazing — such a perfect spot to relax — and the view at night is incredible. It’s honestly one of my favorite things about living here. I also love that all the amenities are open 24 hours. Having access anytime makes such a difference. The enclosed garage was a huge factor for me too, and I’m so glad this place offers that extra convenience and security.
The leasing office team is super sweet and welcoming. Thank you for making the process so smooth and helping me get my dream apartment downtown! I highly recommend living here to anyone looking to move downtown and enjoy the best views and amenities.

I moved into Altura in January, and I truly love living here. The whole experience has been great from day one. My apartment has an incredible view — if you can, go for a north-facing unit.
I want to say thank you to Gilbert for being so patient and helpful during my application process (I know I’m not always the easiest!). He even called a week after I moved in to check on me, which really meant a lot. He also has such fun downtown nightlife stories.
I’m new to downtown and Phoenix and it’s so nice how close everything and there’s no crazy traffic to get into the building. I was deciding between a few places, but I’m so glad I chose Altura. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you; the staff has been nothing but professional, respectful, and genuinely caring. Maintenance is also quick and always kind.

I’ve lived here for two years now and this has truly been one of the best experiences I’ve had. Like any apartment community, things come up from time to time—but that’s normal everywhere. What makes the difference here is the management team. They communicate clearly, keep residents informed, and are always responsive.
I honestly don’t agree with the negative reviews about the community manager. He has always been kind, funny, professional, and great to talk to. He communicates well and treats residents with respect. I’ve personally seen how some people can be rude to management and expect everything their way, and I’ve watched the staff handle those situations with patience and professionalism.
Altura itself is amazing—the location is unbeatable, and the views are unlike anything else around. The pool is beautiful, and as long as you follow the community guidelines, you won’t have any issues. Overall, I’m very happy here!

I lived here from 2020–2025, and the only thing consistent about this place was how badly it was managed.
Despite the high cost of living, the building was chronically neglected. There were five different management teams, and Gilbert was by far the worst. The building was dirty, unsafe, and grossly mismanaged.
The parking garage door was broken the entire time I lived there, elevators were constantly out of service, the dog area was filthy with broken lighting, and amenities were a joke. Grills were either not working or disgusting, the hot tub was broken for over a year, and the pool was never heated. The property flooded twice, pool tiles were loose and hazardous, and basic maintenance requests—like fixing the washer and dryer—took months to address.
This place used to feel like home, but management completely ruined it. The lack of accountability, maintenance, and basic care is unacceptable for what they charge. I would strongly discourage anyone from living here unless they’re prepared to deal with ongoing issues and incompetence.
All issues and concerns that were brought to the attention of the office were ignored or deflected.
