I am writing to formally share my feedback regarding the current state of the building and management. I have recently purchased a home and am preparing for that transition, but I feel it is important to document the specific reasons for my dissatisfaction over the past two years. While I was initially eager to move here in March 2024, my experience has been deeply disappointing due to the following issues: - Cleanliness and Maintenance: Common areas, including windows and walkways, are consistently poorly maintained. I have frequently observed spills, trash, and even human or animal waste in the elevators, alongside syrup, drinks, and spit. Despite the presence of cleaning staff, these issues are not addressed with urgency, and I have found my shoes constantly sticking to the elevator floors. - Security and Theft: Package theft has become a regular occurrence. Additionally, there have been frequent instances of individuals checking apartment door handles. Homeless campers from the nearby I-84 area consistently break into and walk through the building. Both the bike room and the supposedly secure storage units are frequently compromised, and I have personally experienced a threat of violence from an individual outside the building. - Management and Staff: I have found the maintenance staff to be unprofessional, particularly regarding a lack of empathy shown following my recent surgery. High turnover in management has led to a lack of consistency and a decline in property care. - Building Quality and Noise: The midnight glass pickups by Arrow garbage trucks are incredibly disruptive. Furthermore, thin walls allow for constant noise from neighbors, food smells, and people banging on the elevators. - Amenities: Despite the recent $3 million roof repair, there are still active leaks requiring moisture inspections. The common barbecues are broken and dangerous to light. Additionally, the garage has become filthy since the building was sold, with unaddressed oil leaks in common areas. - Billing: I am concerned about being required to pay for an electric car outlet despite not owning an electric vehicle. While management has stated there are new standards in place, the situation appears to be worsening rather than improving. I hope this feedback is taken seriously for the benefit of current and future residents
